The third Sunday of October has become a Hereford tradition in Southeastern Saskatchewan... hosted by the Lees family whose history stems back over a century in the Hereford breed. The name Blair Athol is synonymous with quality seed stock and breed involvement on regional and national levels. This past summer, Duncan and Jeff hosted an awesome Southeast field day. Despite the rain and thanks to the barn, those who attended had a preview of the fall offering…in addition to the always wonderful hospitality. This event offers the largest group of bred heifers to sell in the fall season. They are diverse in genetics and phenotype and offer ideal opportunities to put added value into any breeding program. The services to the new cutting edge sires enhance this great offering of bred heifers to ensure their new owners a higher return on investment. The heifer calf prospects in this event are “Kick-@##” with a few that can go under the category as big time! These young females will be competitive but most importantly, will go on to enhance many front pastures. The breeders involved in the Blair-Athol-Haroldson’s sale have made a huge impact on the Polled Hereford industry. We must realize that the last four out of five years, the premier breeder at Canadian Western Agribition has been a member of this sale... (Blair Athol in 2009 and Haroldson’s in 2011 through 2013)...an achievement attempted by many...accomplished by few.

18B and 230B, Lot 1, are possibly the first and only Time’s A Wastin’ daughters to sell in Canada this fall. Time’s A Wastin’ was Overall Supreme Champion Hereford Bull at Denver in 2013. We were so impressed with him and his progeny, we had to use him. We have been more than happy. Easy calving, acceptable birth weights, lots of pigment. Indigo 18B is typical; straight in her lines, sweet fronted, lots of top and a butt end that carries right down into her hock. This is our youngest sale heifer calf, just an April baby. She is cosmetically correct with enough thickness to make you take a second look. Her dam is an own daughter of Amiga 4F, the Vaquero daughter that did such a great job at C & T.

Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Hereford Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made. Health: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.
