10% Junior Discount for Bonanza 2025 CJHA Heifer Lottery 2025

Medonte Highlands Polled Herefords

Welcome to the 43rd edition of the Autumn Alliance.

Our combined enthusiasm and excitement continue to be unparalleled. Bonanza 2025 was a huge success for cattle that have strolled through the sale ring here at Medonte. Congratulations to everyone. With Bonanza 2026 being hosted in Quebec, all of us here at Medonte would definitely like to work with any Juniors that may purchase an animal in this year’s sale. Remember that we offer a 10% discount off of purchase price for all juniors. Lois and Jim, Randi-Lynn and I are looking forward to welcoming everyone once again to our sale. It’s a great time to catch up with all.

The addition of herdsires Oshoto and Smokey have bred true to our expectations. They are definitely superior herdsires. We had the opportunity to add Chisum along with Roots & Wings and Bar-J-M this Spring. He’s a unique beast with an impeccable dam.

This year’s edition is full of opportunities for everyone. Functional bred females that in many instances have already proven themselves with some young, spicy heifer calves. The future herdsires are impressive. Once again our sale partners have come to the sale with power.

To Randi-Lynn and Dixie, a heartfelt “thank you” for all your assistance and commitment. Also Jacob Ball and everyone who helps throughout the year, thank you!

If I or any of the sale staff can be of assistance, please give us a call. See you on the 21st!

Regards,

www.MedonteHighlands.com

From the Desk at T Bar C welcome from

The success of raising superior breeding stock takes dedication, common sense and most importantly leadership. Medonte Highlands have been leading breeders for Polled Hereford enthusiasts for many, many years. I know that Jack would be proud as Lois and Jimmy have carried on this tradition to higher levels. Just consider all the cattlemen who have benefited from their efforts over the past forty-three events.

Medonte Highlands Polled Herefords is the source of herd bull power. Under the eyes and leadership of Kevin Brown, a true stockman and cattle breeder, Medonte Highlands is the source of new influence sires, sires that will set the pace for many more exciting years ahead. Many of us know Kevin has a competitive nature in the show ring and can kick a little butt, and in the pasture, he raises them with a lot of butt.

Autumn Alliance is a forty-three year long tradition that puts great cattle, great people and great fellowship all together in a great weekend package. Their guests have come with guns loaded, adding an extra dimension to this exciting event.

Plan to be with us on September 21, 2025, at Orillia, Ontario, be it in person, on the phone or on the wire. The lineup of exciting value earning seed stock will fit any program and any budget whether you are a seasoned veteran or just starting in this great breed.

For those who require another set of eyes or for purchasing, feel free to give me or any of the T Bar team a call for professional knowledge and selection.

This heifer calf is sired by Horizon, out of a very good two-year-old that Lian Mor and I purchased from AirriessAcres at the Lone Pine Airriess Acres Invitational Event last fall! We predict that this calf will make a front-pasture cow. Study her pedigree and notice she has a lot of great cattle in her background. Then look at her EPD’s (WOW). We think she would look really good at Bonanza 2026. Please remember that the pictures of all my cattle were taken in their working clothes.

By the way, her mother has a perfect udder!

Co-owned with Lian Mor Polled Herefords.

ANL Maple and PCL Hyper Drive. Great parents of this heifer calf. This calf was small at birth, and is not small anymore. Made right and has very good numbers. This calf has a very maternal pedigree and should have a long, very good future. The dam has a nice, square udder with lots of milk.

Chula Vista Polled Herefords

CHULA-VISTA LIAN MOR NORA 127N

CHULA-VISTA NAOMI 106N

Chula Vista Polled Herefords

CHULA-VISTA NORMA 105N

This calf is special! Hyper Drive out of Chula-Vista Ellie 107E. That makes this calf a maternal sister to the cow who just became the Supreme Champion at Bonanza 2025, shown by Harvie Ranching. The Supreme Champion was bred and calved by Chula Vista, purchased by Medonte in our production sale, and managed by Medonte until she was a two-year-old, then sold in our production sale last fall to Harvie Ranching and Brendale Acres - thanks to everyone! This calf is out of our foundation cow family that never misses. Study her pedigree and her balanced EPD’s, then look at her. Pictured in her working clothes, she will look even better washed and clipped. Want to tie into a great cow family? How good will she be? You be the judge. Own her if you can.

CHULA-LIAN-DOWNEY NICKI 104N

This calf is really neat. Very well made and eye-catching. A show prospect. Her sire, PCL Hyper Drive, has done a really great job here at Chula Vista. Her dam, Honey, is out of a cow family that has been here a long time. She has a perfect udder. This calf’s full brother is now a herdsire for Lian Mor Polled Herefords, and is doing very well. 104N should be a great Junior project! Remember, Bonanza 2026 is in Quebec. Again – good looks, good numbers, good conformation, good future.

Owned with Lian Mor Polled Herefords and Barbara Downey.

CHULA-VISTA MABLE 209M

31Z BLUEPRINT 6153

209M is a solid-made, attractive bred yearling out of Hyper Drive and Kirby 206K, who is an Empower daughter who has a really nice udder and good milk production. This heifer is the kind you keep for the long haul. She has a very maternal pedigree and should be profitable. We think she is the rancher kind of heifer. Easy feeder and trouble-free. The kind of female that you will never be sorry that you purchased

Pasture exposed to PCL 183F Kashmir 5K from April 24, 2025 to September 1, 2025. Observed bred June 8, 2025.

Chula Vista Polled Herefords

CJVK 122M will make an outstanding cow. Big-bodied, well made, and showing superb udder development. She is out of a very reliable GHC cow who has a long history here at Chula Vista. She is the kind that makes you money. Don’t miss her on sale day!

Pasture exposed to PCL 183F Kashmir 5K from April 10, 2025 to September 1, 2025. Observed bred April 16, 2025.

Melody is Abby’s 2025 4H heifer and was part of the semen donation project of the Canadian Junior Hereford Association. I like to talk about the good cows in our sale entries. Look back in Melody’s pedigree and you will see AKJA 11W. She was a staple at Lian Mor for the 14 years she produced here. Not only do we love the female side of her pedigree, but we like the marbling number that Horizon has added to the EPD’s. Owned with Abigail Macdonald.

Sells bred AI to Churchill Smokey 3128L ET on April 13, 2025. No bull exposure.

SIRE SHF Horizon D287 H022 ET

Midsommer 211M has always been a very efficient heifer. She gets the job done without a lot of help. We are retaining 2 maternal sisters for the future in the herd. We purchased her dam from Blair-Athol as we had run out of offspring of the AKJA 50M line. 50M was one of the top MPI cows in Canada for a few years. 211M, an Evolve daughter has impressive EPD numbers that exceed breed averages across the board. Love this heifer!

Sells bred AI to Churchill Smokey 3128L ET on April 13,2025. Exposed to Chula-Lian-Downey 101M from May 26,2025 to June 25,2025. 42

Not a calf we wanted to sell but she was the one Chris picked. Our March yearling that sold in last years Autumn Alliance is from the same cow family as 109N. Lots for growth and milk in this pedigree. 109N has added length with the kind of front end all cows need. This heifer’s pedigree goes back to a Zircon Lady Luck family out of the Phantom Creek herd. A heifer from an exceptional cow family that never misses.

Churchill Smokey is in a class by himself as a true curve bender with his combination of calving ease, growth, fertility, and udder quality along with his “top of the breed” carcass EPD predictions and lower mature cow weight and you have a bull that can improve the profitability of any herd of any breed or breeding!

3N is a neat package. Her explosive hip shape, overall dimension, and how she transitions with such femininity into her front 1/3 make her very appealing. Her dam is a hard-working XLP cow that has a near perfect udder. Belle is already accustomed to the show road and would make an excellent heifer for a junior headed to Bonanza in Quebec next year. Show rights reserved through the RAWF.

A very elegant Final Print heifer calf that continues to turn it on. She is flashy, eye appealing, and tastefully pigmented. Her dam is a hard-working, beautifully uddered Chizel two-year-old that just gets it done. 4N will leave her mark in the ring and will look even better in production.

Where do I start with this dude! Homozygous polled with that herd bull presence. Fully pigmented, freckles and dark in colour. Explosive muscle expression, depth of rib and big footed. Set him into motion and add his cocky presence, you will really appreciate him. Sired by the CWA Supreme Champion Bull Glenlees Evolve and backed by a beautiful Frontier dam Bar JM Kelly 113K who was a Royal and CWA Supreme Qualifier in 2024. Outset has a bright future ahead. Terms to be announced. Show right reserved through CWA.

Recip Tattoo – JBS 254H Due Date: January 2, 2026

By the time you are reading this footnote, you will already have heard and seen how exciting the Oshoto progeny are. 113K is the foundation of our herd. She is a beautifully uddered Frontier daughter that lit up the show ring in Ontario last fall, qualifying for the Royal and CWA Supreme. The proof is in Lot 48. This mating is going to be a fun one. To add to this mating you are getting a powerhouse purebred recip.

Bar JM Polled Herefords

A real cool Evolve heifer calf that we own with Rebecca Hess. I really like the profile of this calf, the added length of spin and how she sets down when you get her into motion. 1N has a great disposition and would be a perfect fit for a junior of any age.
