WELCOME

The time has finally come, to part with my treasured herd of Black Angus cattle. Father Time, some health issues and

nobody to carry on, has brought me to this point.

Angus Hills was established in 1956 by my father Sinclair , and has fluctuated from as many 300 cows to 50-70 the last few years. I got an early education in the Angus breed , starting at the age of 10, with Ross and Butch Bailey, going to fairs . I could write a book on all the adventures, shows and sales that I attended and worked at with both of them. Most of all I learned to identify and breed good quality , functional cattle. I’ve maintained a strong A.I. Influence over the years and backed it up with high quality sires, as you’ll see as you look over the herd and pedigrees.

I’ve made many life long friends, and have a ton of memories, over the years. I hope to see you on sale day.

Welcome to the dispersal of Angus Hills Farm and production sale for Wild Weather Cattle. This will be an exceptional opportunity to acquire seedstock with excellent pedigrees and exceptional EPDs. John and family are very good people who have quietly been assembling a fantastic herd of Angus cattle. John’s love for the breed is proven as you flip through this catalogue of quality Angus cattle.

The herdsire’s on offer are unique. The Lot 1 bull is very interesting. A proud, thick bull with low birth. The Lot 2 bull from JL is amazing in the flesh, anytime you can buy a Renown... you go for it. Included is a very good option in Lot 3 for breeding heifers, plus 4 bull calves from the top of the pen that are very worthy.

But just wait, I dare say, and photographer Brad Gilchrist will agree with me, this is a heck of a set of yearling bred females. While touring in mid September you couldn’t help but be impressed, and the pictures show it. Study this section thoroughly... it’s damn impressive.

The cow herd and heifers are truly in their prime. Pedigrees that are sought after and services that are rare and exclusive. So please make every effort to join us sale day. It’s been an absolute pleasure to deal with John and all of us at T Bar are very enthusiastic of his offering .
