Delivery Options

Option A: Bulls picked up at the sale or within a week of sale day will receive a $100 off per bull Option B: Free delivery on bulls will start April 1 to central points in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. In most cases we will deliver the bull to your yard.

Option C: Bulls may be left at the farm free of charge until May 1. After that, a $3.00/day fee will apply after that and bulls will then need to be picked up or delivery arrangements made with the seller.

In Herd Semen Interest

The Next Generation sale group reserves the right to collect 100 doses of in-herd semen from every bull in the offering. This is to be done at the new owner’s convenience and the seller’s expense.

Black Gold has been involved in the Simmental business for over 30 years and we have been rejuvenated with some youthful enthusiasm. Our goal has been and will continue to be raising high quality beef cattle that will maximize earnings for our customers.

• Swagger has been the standout of the 2014 calf crop. He has been admired by many who have seen him this past summer and fall. He was a big part of our fall show string where he was the Grand Champion Bull at the Lloydminster Stockade Round-up. It is no surprise that he has been a favorite, as his maternal brother was the same way two years ago where he sold at Agribition to Lockhart Valley Simmentals. Swagger is a “Richie” son with extra pigment, shape and outstanding performance.

His weaning performance was ranked first and yearling performance third within our herd. He is a loose hided, soft made, stout calf with a great hair coat. And to say that he is quiet would be an understatement, as he is one of the easiest going calves we have sold.

• Wow, this is quite a calf and certainly is one of our features. Zam is our second youngest bull with our highest Yearling weight performance.

Zam’s maternal brother was our lead off bull in last year’s sale selling to Hoegl Livestock. . Our 56S females have good udders with short well placed teets and they are tremendous producers. 56S cows have raised the high selling lot at the 2014 Agribition Sale, the 2014 Next Generation Bull sale and the second high selling lot at 2012 Agribition Sale.

Baxter has matured into a smooth, big volume herdsire prospect with outstanding performance for a calving ease bull. We are confident that Baxter could be used on heifers and we are reserving semen for in herd use. Baxter was purchased from Bar 5 in a recipient cow. Welcome to the second Next Generation Bull sale. We appreciate the opportunity to join Black Gold Simmentals and Red Willow Ranch in their annual bull and female sale. These two herds are focused to raise quality cattle. The sale name truly fits as the next generation at Noble’s and Tyler’s really are enjoying the cattle industry. It is so great to see the Next Generation wanting to be in agriculture and the cattle industry; with some very good guidance at each farm. The group of bulls and heifers at the first Next Generation sale were consistent in type and quality from all three herds. We have confidence that this year’s offering will have the same quality and type, as each herd strives to add and improve genetics. At Little Willow Creek Ranch we calve over 650 cows in the spring, and Ted calves about 40 cows in September. For the Next Generation Sale we have selected beef bulls with hair, performance, they have to be sound; maternal traits and temperament are very important at our farm. These bulls will have the same guarantee as always. All bulls are guaranteed to pass a semen test when they reach 14 months; any problems are taken care of, we will have a bull to breed your cows. LWC RUSTY 1B is sired by Anchor “T” Rusty 59G. He is a long, deep sided bull with very good performance.

His dam LWC Miss Appollo 42Y was Clayton’s 4-H cow, she is very sound has a good udder and a great temperament. She is a moderate sized cow; her first calf is an Alta’s Lore 128X bred heifer, is one of our top heifers calving this spring. This Fullblood 1B bull has a very interesting pedigree; Anchor “T” Rusty, KUZ Mr Appollo 11W, SU Rio Grande 55R could provide interest in many herds. We would like to draw 100 straws for our in herd use.

LWC MISS ROOTS 18T is a moderate balanced cow from C&D Roots, then back to Jahari; we have a lot of these Roots and Jahari cows in our herd. Welcome to the 2nd annual “Next Generation” Bull Sale! We are pleased to again join Black Gold Simmentals and Little Willow Creek for this sale.

2014 was an exciting year for us here at Red Willow Ranch….We hosted our first bull sale, calved our commercial herd in the spring instead of our usual winter calving program, planted our first corn crop for use as feed silage as well as winter grazing, and celebrated our first son’s wedding. We are thankful for all this and are looking forward to what 2015 has in store.

Our bull pen we feel is very powerful this year, with the Standout sons leading the group. We are very excited to offer this uniform group of his first sons for sale and feel they are very right for the times. The Wallace bulls are the strongest we have ever raised and the Godfather progeny show themselves off as our top red bulls. The bulls have been developed on a high roughage TMR mixed ration consisting of silage, alfalfa/brome hay with a Masterfeeds bull developer pellet with a chelated mineral package. We are confident they all will prove themselves as capable sires in any herd.

Congratulations to all the cattlemen who have persevered through challenging years…. You are now in the position to reap the rewards of your hard work! It is wonderful to see the present enthusiasm in the livestock industry.

Yearling Incredible hip, big top, and as long as a freight train. These are a few of the first thoughts that come to mind when you analyze this bull. 7B is a calf that has had ‘the look’ to him starting at a very young age. He is a power bull that weaned off at 1030 lbs in September, has achieved a WPDA of 4.15 lbs, and has always been the heavy weight of the bull pen. With great pigmentation pattern that is typical of all the Standout progeny, he should follow in his sire’s footsteps - siring predictable, solid marked calves. Standsalone is mothered by a beautiful Houston daughter who possesses a perfect udder.

She has been a great producer for us and has become one of our favourite cows.

7B, along with 16B and 17B, were the grand champion pen of 3 bulls at the 2014 Edam Fall Fair. It was here, that they also claimed the People’s Choice pen of 3 bulls title as well. This group was also named reserve grand champion pen of Simmental bulls at the 2014 Canadian Western Agribition pen show. We feel Standsalone has the potential to become a very influential fullblood herdsire for a breeder or commercial cattleman. 103 Commercial Heifers Our Heifers are very uniform in type and are the kind that will make moderate framed cows. The heifers were all born in late April and May and will have enough frame and condition to breed for early calving or keep them in a later calving program; they will work well in both. We take pride in our commercial cows and have been building this closed herd for many years. They will be sold in groups of five.
