The first issue of t-art magazine, a student-run publication based at the University of Pennsylvania. t-art magazine / volume 1 first explores shifts in the way we create and experience art, through the lenses of digital media, political activism, and the pandemic. With the interdisciplinary development of new mediums and technologies, design and science push forward innovation. Featuring interviews with artists and designers, including Danny Simmons, Marco Santini, Alex Rex, Robert Ghrist, and Lily Simonson, who use their craft to promote learning and shape communities. With a final section on music and exhibitions, essays highlight how artistic discourse enables us to revise the stories that history has conventionally told and to reframe them for the future.
