The purpose of this study is to suggest a methodological approach aimed at accompanying the urban transition during the post-quarantine period. As now known, the current pandemic restrictions on public engagement is challenging human habits, especially in dense urban areas. The immediate effort of authorities and decision makers is to define a roadmap allowing a gradual and safe re-opening to social life. Little by little, as restrictions are eased, public spaces are expected to rediscover their original collective potential. Systematica responded to challenge by focusing on children’s recreational needs, prioritizing the exploitation of urban parks, playgrounds, and gardens and suggesting scheduled outdoor activities.
