History • “Big Data” has been around in some form since
early man • The term “Big Data” began to appear in the 1990’s • Current form of “Big Data” has been around for
about a decade • Data collection has always been a part of logistics
management • With the introduction of scalable sensors Big Data is Ishango Bone circa 18,000 BCE discovered in 1960. Which may be an early method used to track trading activity or supplies.

This Panel was designed in the 1970’s and utilized in the 1980’s onward. Able to perform on-going BIT functions to monitor the major systems of an aircraft, as well as to provide output feedback on a select number of recordable characteristics.
