Oregon Connections Academy (ORCA) SPECIAL BOARD MEETING Notice is hereby given to the members of the ORCA Board and the general public that the ORCA Board will hold a meeting open to the public on: Date and Time: June 3, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. PT Held at the following location: 833 NW Santiam Boulevard Mill City, OR 97360 Below is an agenda of all items scheduled to be considered. Unless otherwise stated, items may be taken out of the order presented on the agenda at the discretion of the Chair. Call to Order – J. Kropf Mr. Kropf called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.

Public Comment There was no public comment at this time.
The Board welcomes participation by the members of the public in-person. To address an item on the agenda, before the scheduled start of the meeting, an individual must write their name and a short description of the agenda item on which they wish to comment on the card provided and submit this to the Chair, along with any materials they want to have distributed to Board. If the individual wants to provide any written materials to the Board, these should be emailed to the School Principal at least twenty four (24) hours before the scheduled start of the meeting.
The mission of Oregon Connections Academy, a public virtual charter school, is to provide an inclusive, flexible, academic, and individualized program by partnering students and families with highly qualified educators to build lifelong learners.
The total time for any individual to present on an item on the agenda shall not exceed three (3) minutes, unless the Board grants additional time. Individuals desiring to make a formal presentation to the Board on an item not on the agenda but desiring it be placed on the agenda must provide notice and written submissions detailing the subject of the presentation to the School Principal at least fourteen (14) days prior to the meeting. Any such presentation shall not exceed fifteen (15) minutes in duration, unless otherwise permitted by the Chair. Routine Business a. Approval of Agenda - J. Kropf The Chair will ask members and attendees what items, if any, need to be added, removed from on moved on the agenda. Mr. Kropf asked if Board members would like to request any changes made to the agenda. Joe Brown moved to approve the agenda as is. Kim Thatcher seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
V.
EXECUTIVE SESSION a. To discuss information or records that are exempt from public inspection (attorney client privileged communications) – pursuant to ORS § 192.660 (1) (f) (sent under separate cover) – J. Kropf Mr. Kropf moved the meeting into executive session at 1:08 p.m. Executive Session ended at 1:55 p.m.

Information and Possible Action Items a. Review and consideration of contracts to be awarded through the RFP process. Motion to approve the SYS Education contract as written with Kim Thatcher moved to approve. Joe Brown seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Motion to approve the ADP contract subject to finalizing terms through Board Chair and Legal Counsel. Kim Thatcher moved to approve and Joe Brown seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Motion to approve the Phillips Managed Support Services contract subject to finalizing terms through Board Chair and Legal Counsel. Kim Thatcher moved to approve and Joe Brown seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Motion to approve Board Chair, Jeff Kropf, to work with Legal Counsel to execute all contracts related to the RFP Process.
