Drink n’ Design at Midsummer Happy Hour

Indulge in desserts from BitterSweet, create your own American Modern with the Everson

(Syracuse, NY)— Enjoy complimentary appetizers from BitterSweet, half-price drinks and an art project on Thursday, March 21, 67:15 p.m., at Drink n’ Design Happy Hour before the 7:30 p.m. performance of A Midsummer's Night Dream.

Patrons can indulge in complimentary appetizers and desserts from BitterSweet of Syracuse, plus all drinks at the bar are halfprice. The signature drink for the Midsummer is “Love-in-Idleness,” named after the purple flower that causes people to fall in love in the play. Ingredients are Vodka, Cranberry Juice, Blue Curacao and Grenadine.

The Everson Museum of Art is partnering with Syracuse Stage for a fun, mess-free art project in Stage’s Sutton Pavilion. Join a staff member from the Everson in making your own flair inspired by the museum’s current exhibition, American Moderns, 1910-1960: From O'Keeffe to Rockwell.

Happy Hour attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes for their designs, as well as enter for a chance to win free tickets to the American Moderns exhibit.

American Moderns, 1910-1960: From O’Keeffe to Rockwell, is on display at the Everson through May 12, and explores a wide variety of American art from the first half of the twentieth century. The exhibition consists of 53 paintings and four sculptures, selected from the Brooklyn Museum’s permanent collection by such

prominent artists as Georgia O’Keeffe, Norman Rockwell, Milton Avery, Stuart Davis and Arthur Dove.
