Some are made for everyday moments, others for slower occasions, but all share the same starting point: there’s a Douro for everyone.
ORIGINS
The Symington family has worked in the Douro for five generations, with vineyards spread across the region’s main sub-regions. Which, let’s be honest, allows something quite rare: choice.
Each year, grapes are selected from different sites – cooler areas for balance and freshness, warmer zones for ripeness and structure.
The Douro never gives the same answer twice. And Altano adapts to it.
ALTANO WHITE
From higher, cooler vineyards, this wine shows the lighter side of the Douro. Citrus and orchard fruit notes combine with lively acidity, giving it freshness, energy and balance.
An easy, versatile wine that works just as well at the table as away from it.

ALTANO ROSÉ
Harvested slightly earlier to preserve freshness, this rosé is direct and expressive. Red fruit comes through clearly, with a light profile and smooth texture, yet enough structure to take you beyond the first glass.

ALTANO RED

ALTANO RESERVA WHITE
Here, the Douro gains texture and depth. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards and partially aged in oak, it combines freshness with volume. A more complex white, with greater structure and persistence.
