We would like to express our gratitude for the continued support that our chamber members provide throughout the years and because of the number of partnerships, our organization has been able to coordinate and develop many key events, and services in the community that impact business owners and residents. Below, you’ll find highlights and key achievements from our 2023 events and program!
2023-2025 Strategic Plan
The Sylvania Chamber launched the 3-Year plan with four objectives – Membership Engagement, Investment, Marketing Awareness, and Foundation Growth
o Membership – designed to support our membership and provide a return on investments made into the organization. It is our obligation to provide benefits to our members with their investment of funding, time and knowledge.
o Investment – we strive to maximize its organizational efforts through the investment of technology, professional development, and staffing.
o Marketing Awareness – we will increase marketing efforts of the Sylvania area locally and statewide.
o Foundation Growth – launched in the spring of 2022 to develop funding for educational, beautification projects will support the Sylvania area.
Community Events
The Chamber hosts four community events annual that not only fostered economic growth but strengthened the sense of community within our city.
o Sylvania Spring Business Expo & Market - Our annual expo showed local businesses, giving them a platform to promote their products and services to a wide audience of attendees.
o Memorial Day Parade - Our participation to host the parade showcased our commitment to the community and allowed us to honor our veterans.
o Pizza Palooza - This annual event not only brought our community together but invited attendees from hours away to attend and support local pizzerias. This event has now become a staple in Northwest Ohio.
o Sylvania Fall Festival - Held on the 3rd weekend of October, this event doubled the craft & markets vendors, highlight 30+ local organizations, host local musicians on a giant stage, and of course, brought the community together with various kid's activities from 2022.
Programs
The Chamber hosted educational programs for members and non-members to attend. Program focused on continuing education, professional development, networking, and DEI initiatives.
o 10 Monthly Luncheons - Our monthly programs brought together elected officials and business leaders, providing them with an informative keynote speaker and networking opportunities.
o Business Over Breakfast - These early morning meetings allowed businesses to connect, share ideas, and learn from fellow business owners in a small group setting.
o Young Professionals - We continued to nurture the next generation of leaders through our Young Professionals program, providing education, professional development programs, and networking opportunities for members and non-members 35 and younger.
o Inaugural Women’s Leadership Summit - This event empowered women with a national keynote speaker, top-tier panel of local businesswomen, and provided an inclusive setting for engagement with one another. The Chamber was honored to host a sell-out event with support from our many local businesses and organizations.

The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Sylvania, and Ohio local Sylvania Area Veterans Groups, will be hosting the 2024 Sylvania Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27th.
Come out to commemorate the men and women who died while in the military service of our country Beginning at 9:00 AM, a brief service will be held at Toledo Memorial Park, located at 6832 Monroe Street. Over 14,000 local veterans are laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery & Mausoleum. The “Sea of Flags” that decorate their graves is a truly magnificent sight Local Veterans groups and color guards will also visit Association, Ravine, and St Joseph’s cemeteries to honor fallen military personnel.

THE EVENT
Join us for the 2nd Annual Women's Leadership Summit hosted at Lourdes University!
This half day program will include a keynote speaker and panel discussion from some of Northwest Ohio's most outstanding business women
During the program, the Chamber will present the 2024 Business Woman of the Year Award!
