RETAIL Loewe

The goal of this project was to design a shop-in-shop for the luxury retail brand, LOEWE, which would be located within the department store, La Rinascente in Rome, Italy. Reed Linse and I were given an existing floor plan to work with. With our design, we sought to embody LOEWE’s energetic, dynamic, and collective essence.

CLIENT PROFILE

Our client, LOEWE, is a Spanish luxury fashion house that began as a leather making collective and has evolved into a leading global fashion brand, specializing in leather goods, bags, clothing, shoes, and other accessories. LOEWE values historial artistic achievements and supports contemporary art and culture. LOEWE puts a playful spin on luxury.

CONCEPT STATEMENT This shop-in-shop highlights LOEWE’s appreciation and dedication to craftsmanship. Spanish materials are incorporated, paying homage to the brand’s roots. While incorporating these elements, we ultimately intend for the space to take on a domestic nature and spark conversation.

RESIDENTIAL New Beginnings

The goal of this project was to design an apartment that marked a new beginning for a middle-aged mother and young daughter of Chinese descent who just moved to Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Due to COVID, the young family would be spending ample amounts of time at home working and studying remotely.

FLOOR PLAN | scale 1/4” = 1’-0” My goal was to design a versatile space dedicated to both work and relaxation, creating a tranquil and familiar space for this young family. Through the incorporation of Chinese art, an indoor garden, and designing enough space for yoga, the space is the perfect remedy after a hard day’s work.

RESIDENTIAL Charming Comfort

The goal of this project was to create a luxurious vacation home for a celebrity of choice, Dan Levy. I designed a charming waterfront estate in Charleston, South Carolina which was intended to invoke a sense of awe and offer Dan an escape from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. This residence encapsulated Dan Levy’s bold and inventive character.

DRAWINGS Rome, Italy

While studying abroad in Rome, Italy, I was enrolled in a drawing class where I produced drawings each with a particular medium and subject matter. I included my hatched drawings of the Arch of Constantine and the Collosseum, two major landmarks in Rome. I also included one of my watercolor drawings of Rome’s quaint cobblestoned streets.
