ARCHITECTURE
& sustainability ARCHITECTURE
My architectural studies have given me a strong foundation in: structural design and spatial planning, historical and contemporary architectural influences, building systems and material applications, and building information modeling. Understanding these principles allows me to approach interior spaces holistically, considering not just aesthetics but also the integrity of structures, the flow of space, and the interaction between built environments and their users. My designs are informed by historical context while embracing modern innovations.
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN Through my sustainability studies, I have explored: Sustainable materials and finishes, energy-efficient design strategies, LEED & WELL certification principles & biophillic design approaches. These concepts have influenced my design philosophy, allowing me to prioritize eco-friendly solutions that reduce environmental impact while enhancing human well-being. In my projects, I have incorporated reclaimed materials, passive lighting techniques, and low-impact finishes to create sustainable yet stylish interiors.
INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH My minors in Sustainability and Architecture enrich my interior design perspective by integrating environmentally responsible solutions and a deep understanding of structural principles. These fields provide me with the tools to create spaces that are not only aesthetically compelling but also sustainable and functional. By combining sustainability and architectural insight with my interior design expertise, I aim to create spaces that are not only visually compelling but also environmentally responsible and structurally sound. These disciplines set me apart as a designer, equipping me with a comprehensive perspective that prioritizes longevity, efficiency, and innovation.
FLORENCE italy STUDY ABROAD, JANUARY 2025 In January 2025, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy, during a winter session. I enrolled in *AHIS 1301 FLIT: The Great Artists of the Italian Renaissance*, a course that provided an in-depth exploration of renowned artists such as Lorenzo Ghiberti, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo. Through a combination of lectures and daily site visits, I gained firsthand experience of Florence’s rich artistic and architectural history. Highlights included visits to iconic landmarks like the Pitti Palace, the Basilica of San Lorenzo, and many other historically significant sites. This immersive experience broadened my intercultural perspective, deepening my appreciation for historical design principles, craftsmanship, and the cultural significance of architecture. These insights will inform my approach as a future interior designer, allowing me to incorporate global influences and timeless artistic elements into my work.

discovery center ABOUT NLDC NLDC stands as a premier nature-focused educational and community center nestled in the heart of Wisconsin’s enchanting Northwoods region. While its primary audience comprises of of residents, secondary homeowners, and vacationers, the center also caters to a growing demographic of organized groups with a keen interest in nature-based recreational activities and programs. Notable among these are esteemed organizations like the Center for Conservation Leadership and the WI Land + Water Youth Conservation Camp, reflecting NLDC’s pivotal role in fostering environmental stewardship and outdoor engagement.
PROJECT OVERVIEW The aim of this project was to revitalize four key buildings within the campus: the Teal Cabin, Bobcat Conference Room, Water Office, and Tadpole Classroom. Recognizing that the current condition of these spaces no longer aligns with the evolving needs of NLDC visitors, the project seeks to enhance functionality and user experience. Teams of four designers were formed, with each member assigned to a distinct space. Despite the individual assignments, the overarching requirement was to ensure cohesiveness across all spaces, anchoring them back to the central concept.

Its strategic location facing a bird habitat makes it a perfect spot for birdwatching enthusiasts.
THE TADPOLE CLASSROOM The Tadpole Classroom functions as an educational environment catering to students of varying ages, focusing on topics such as local lakes, aquatic flora, fishing practices, and water quality. Notably, the cabin features ample natural lighting facilitated by a skylight in the ceiling. Moreover, the space includes dedicated storage areas for fishing gear, complemented by a display section for fishing poles. *THESE SPACES WERE DESIGNED BY GROUP MEMBERS*
YOUMEDIA teen library PROJECT OVERVIEW YOUmedia, a well-established program within the Chicago Public Library, acts as a vibrant hub tailored for teen students and young adults. It provides them with access to state-of-the-art technology and educational resources, fostering learning experiences that transcend the confines of traditional classrooms. Drawing from the success of this model, YOUmedia is now being tailored for deployment on the second floor within the Milwaukee Central Library.
ECLIPSING LIMITS Inspired by the ethereal essence of sunsets and their reflection upon water, we aim to infuse the space with the serene beauty and tranquility evoked by this phenomenon. The shimmering ripples are mimicked through the seamless interplay of light, and texture, illustrating the flow of challenges and triumphs in life, reinforcing the idea that growth is a continuous process. The horizon serves as a metaphorical threshold of self-discovery and potential. Warm hues of oranges, yellows, blues and teals paint the sky, mirroring the diverse palette of emotions and lessons embedded in ones transformative journey. The design will imbue the space with a soft, golden glow, inviting occupants to pause, reflect, and immerse themselves in the mesmerizing beauty of the sunsets embrace.
