After two years of exceptional loyalty – flowing both ways – during pandemic lockdowns, it’s the ‘new normal’ which is upon us. Your home of exhilarating luxury Lexus vehicles intends to make every new move in our relationship not just progressive but revolutionary. For a start, there’s our second dealership Sydney City Lexus - Glebe, in the inner west, which has made access so much more intuitive, especially for our guests. We’ve all learned to live online, but we know absolutely that when it comes to their Lexus, our guests appreciate the proximity of face-to-face contact – and Glebe is already providing that opportunity. Our focus this year is to help every guest receive their exhilarating new Lexus in a time efficient manner. It goes to the heart of our relationship with our guests and the trust that exists between us. We’re actively assisting our guests to manage their future needs. Selective pre-ordering is the way to do that; effectively recognising that your current Lexus may be up for replacement next year or the year after
and ordering now so that your new vehicle will be ready exactly when you want it. In the current market, in which the value of quality pre-owned Lexus vehicles is exceptionally high, we’ve explored the potential for a pre-trade in of our guests’ current vehicle. It means that some of our guests might be without a car between the time of trade in and the arrival of their new Lexus – but the car they trade might also be a second or third vehicle in the family and they can find a work around. The REALLY Good News.. And the best news of all – I’ve seen what’s in the Lexus pipeline. The all new NX Lexus has been the star of early 2022 - it’s a runaway success, packed with features which have been delivered so intuitively. In April the NX will be joined by the new, off-road flagship LX and in the fourth quarter, the next generation RX. That’s huge in itself - a completely new SUV line up. And they’re just a prelude, a taster, for what’s to come as Lexus prepares to roll out a raft of leading performance, next generation models starting next year.
SYDNEY CITY LEXUS DOUBLES ITS FOOTPRINT Sydney City Lexus is proud to announce it has opened a second luxury Lexus dealership location. The exclusive, dedicated sales and service operation is on the corner of Parramatta Road and Ross Street, Glebe, opposite Sydney University, and it brings a superb level of access to our guests in the inner west. Importantly, we’re the first luxury motor vehicle brand to come to the inner west: our recognition of just how important this fast-developing area of Sydney is becoming. Will others follow us? They should do. There’s a real need developing in the inner west to tap into luxury vehicles like Lexus. The next generation Glebe facility will work hand in glove with our existing Sydney City Lexus headquarters at Waterloo to provide unprecedented service across our PMA – a term that describes our geographic responsibility for the Lexus marque. We’ve staffed the new facility with local area experts and a mechanical team led by a Lexus mastertechnician to ensure our guests receive leading edge attention. Enzo Alessi is the General Manager of Sydney City Lexus at both sites, and he is supported at Glebe by local expert Tim Chen who has been promoted to Lexus Sales Manager and James Almond who

has transferred to Glebe from Waterloo as our Sales executive. They’re supported by Hong Liu, Leon Xu, Li Zhang, Winto - our sensational receptionist - and in service, Peter Demetre our service manager, Chris Demetre, his assistant and Joe Tedone, our specialist service advisor. We invite all our guests to come in and meet our team.
ENCORE AND BEYOND At Sydney City Lexus we always seek to keep at least one step ahead of the industry-leading best. Our guests love our Lexus Encore program, which provides access and opportunities to surprise and delight them. Platinum Encore, the exclusive service to owners of certain vehicles in the Lexus stable, has been a runaway success. Now we’ve added two additional activities – not officially part of the Encore program, but exclusive to Sydney City Lexus. For a start we’ve decided to extend our concierge pick up and loan car service to owners of all Lexus vehicles, no matter the age of the vehicle. Whether your Lexus is within warranty, or is older, we’ll now have a concierge at your door to collect your vehicle for service, leave a loan car, and deliver your car back to you. Our rationale is that if you love your Lexus, we’re here to look after it and keep it in the best factoryserviced condition so it will retain maximum value for when you decide to move up to a new model. It’s a win for you and a win for us – because we want to buy well cared for quality used Lexus cars as well.
So, to ensure that’s the case we’ve now also decided to undertake free of charge registration inspections for every Lexus we service. It’s a hassle-free way for owners of older Lexus vehicles to ensure their cars completely comply with roadworthy regulations and stay on the road safely.
SYDNEY CITY LEXUS AND OUR GOLFING GUESTS HELP SYDNEY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL Sydney City Lexus has been proud to support the Sydney Children’s Hospital since 2013. Simultaneously we’ve been delighted to provide the golfers amongst our guests regular exclusive Sydney City Lexus golf days at some of the best courses in the country. This March, we combined the two – a Golf Day which supported the Sydney Children’s Hospital. And the results were spectacular. SYDNEY CITY JOINS WITH CITY TATTERSALLS CLUB City Tatts is a Sydney institution. For 126 years its Pitt Street headquarters between Market and Park have been the hub of Sydney’s business and sporting society. Sydney City Lexus is proud to have formed an association with this iconic Sydney landmark. City Tatts’ Group CEO Marcelo Veloz is seeking to provide a new level of top end service to the City, invoking a set of values and a passion for excellence that we share. Our Lexus vehicles will be on show at City Tatts and Marcelo has already given away one of our UX SUVs in a membership promotion which he regards as one of the best he’s ever run. IT’S GOING TO BE A HUGE YEAR Two of the most in demand models in the Lexus SUV range – and our 4x4 flagship – are going to lead an exhilarating year for Sydney City Lexus this year. The just released all new, Lexus NX SUV, in hybrid, plug in hybrid, and revolutionary petrol versions, has already become the runaway success of the year. Better than 65 percent of all orders placed in our two showrooms in March have been for the superb NX. From the NX 250 luxury all the way up the revolutionary NX450h+ F Sport, the range provides our customers with the luxury of choice in a body shape that is truly inspiring. The NX350h hybrid has been the model most in demand, providing exceptional economy of only 5l/100kms. We’re huge fans of the PHEV (plug in hybrid) NX450 which has an electric range of up to 87km. Most people don’t achieve that on their daily drive, so there will be some NX450h owners who don’t visit a petrol pump for a long time.

The NX range introduces Lexus’ new Tazuna cockpit concept of driving control which is likened to a rider controlling the reins of a horse.
One feature that really resonates: the start button is activated by fingerprint recognition. It’s possible to enter up to 10 fingerprints in the system, providing controlled access and security at the same time.
Tazuna will now be a part of all Lexus models going forward.
Towards the end of the year, there’ll be an all-new RX SUV, based on Lexus’s LNGA modular platform.

THE AUTUMN CARNIVAL KNOWS NO BARRIERS Our hugely successful Gp1 horse racing ambassadors Peter and Paul Snowden are facing the busiest Autumn Carnival of their stable’s career.
The Snowden campaign was on full show in midMarch at the $5million Golden Slipper over 1200metres at Rosehill, the world’s richest race for two-year olds.
With more than 100 horses now in training they’ll be running 15 top Gp1 contenders over the two weeks of the Championship series at Royal Randwick.
The stable’s two entrants Russian Conquest and Revolutionary Miss finished together but beaten into a place by a field which demonstrated clearly how competitive the Autumn Carnival has become.
The Snowden stable has been consistently in the top four in the premiership series and is regarded as one of the top five in Australia. “With over 40 races, the Autumn Carnival is the pinnacle of racing – it brings out the best of the best”, Peter said. “Success is never something you can be certain of, but we’ve put in the preparation and we’re hopeful”.

WELCOME TO LUKE’S KITCHEN It’s taken 20 years, but Sydney’s pre-eminent celebrity chef Luke Mangan has joined Sydney City Lexus as our exclusive ambassador for fine dining. Luke has been a friend of Lexus almost since its inception and he and our dealer principal John Roca worked together when John was CEO of Lexus Australia. Luke helped John and Lexus design its Birdcage marquee at the Melbourne Cup. Luke lists his relationship with Lexus as one of the five inspirational moments in his stellar career. Lexus’ passion for excellence led Luke to begin a program called Appetite for Excellence which sought to discover, train and nurture brilliant young chefs. Now, as Luke embarks on his next adventure, Luke’s Kitchen in the amazing heritage Kimpton Hotel in Sydney’s Pitt Street, he and John have come together again.
