NEW ES EXHILARATION There’s a new seventh generation Lexus ES coming and its due before spring.

A CENTURY OF EXPERIENCE Sometimes it takes our breath away. Lexus, the best luxury brand in the world, is just 30years old. But the top five members of our Sydney City Lexus service team have between them 110 years of Lexus experience.

That’s what makes us different to anyone else in the luxury business. Our team members have been with Lexus, almost literally, since the birth of the brand.

Zlatklo Acevski – aka Zak, our service manager boasts a quarter of a century of dedication. Zak is our man on the front line at Sydney City. He is so well entrenched that many of our guests have become true friends.

The same applies for Peter Mihaczi, another quarter-century veteran, who is our man in the field. Because so many Lexus guests take

part in our home or office pick-up and delivery service, Peter is the man they know when he arrives at their home or office.

By comparison Mok You, our warranty officer, with 23 years’ service, and Simon O’Connor, valet driver, with 22 years on staff, are youngsters. Grant Catlin, our workshop controller, who joined us at the start of 2000, has worked his way up to this role having held a number of Quality Control positions. He takes pride in ensuring all our guest vehicles are perfect when they are returned to them.

We got them together recently, just to say thanks, and they all nominated one reason that keeps them so committed – more even than the brand, it’s the people that they enjoy the most.

WELCOME JAMES McDONALD He’s known as JMac to his fans, and the Kiwi import is arguably Australia’s premier jockey with 47 Group 1 wins to his credit – an extraordinary feat since he’s still just 29 years old.

Now, James has become part of the Sydney City Lexus family and is proudly driving a Lexus ES300h along with his partner Katelyn Mallyon.

JMac and Katelyn are a power couple in racing.

Katelyn became the first woman to win a Group 1 race before she retired two years ago, at 24, to concentrate on her commentary career within the sport.

It’s a pleasure and an honor to have them as part of our tight knit team of Sydney City Lexus ambassadors.
