ABOUT THIS CALENDAR Our aim with the GSC calendar is to feature Adventists around Greater Sydney who represent the principles of unity, love and community that we strive to live and promote. However, this calendar will be slightly different. It occurred to us how interesting and diverse our houses of worship are, so we decided showcase a sampling of them. The 2020 GSC Calendar then, is an ode to Seventh-day Adventist Churches around the Greater Sydney. As always, each month focuses on a different ministry, which we’ll be highlighting and promoting them online via social media. JANUARY 2020
Wahroonga Church #SydneyAdventists Part of the Wahroonga Estate, members celebrated the churches 60th anniversary on November 17, 2018. Long-time member Shirley Lewis was at the official opening of the building on November 23, 1958. She and her husband John were married there in 1963 as were their three sons later on. Three generations of the Lewis family attend Wahroonga today.

Our Dementia & Aged Care Facilities in Hills District & Blacktown area. An extensive building program in the residential and independent living section has recently been completed. It provides a comprehensive 78-bed residential care facility which are integrated into the hostel and nursing home.

This church originally belonged to the Church of Christ Tabernacle who opened it for service in 1886. They formed the Enmore Tabernacle cricket club. With changes to inner city demographics, from 1988 the church became a Korean Baptist Church, then later Adventist.

Greater Sydney Conference GSC temporarily moved to the Shannon Wing of the Sydney Adventist Hospital ("the San"). The wing was the second Hospital building to be constructed on this site. The northern facade of the once handsome building is now the only one able to be readily viewed.
