acknowledge our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, the creator, provider and supreme owner of all things.
We also acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are the traditional custodians of the land. We pay tribute to elders past and present and acknowledge that they have cared for this country over countless generations.
We recognise the continuing contribution that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people make to Australia and endeavour to work together to leave a legacy of reconciliation, justice and hope for all future Australians.

Welcome
Dear Brothers & Sisters!
Welcome to another Big Camp!
Whether this is your first time joining us or you are returning, we are thrilled to have you here. There is something special about gathering like this—coming together as a family, united in faith, purpose and fellowship.
This year, our theme is “Created to Serve,” inspired by Ephesians 2:10, reminding us that we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. This is more than a theme—it is a calling on each of our lives.
Over the coming days, our hearts will focus on being together. Let us build genuine community, create meaningful memories and strengthen friendships that will last far beyond this camp. In a world that pulls us toward self-centred living, we can choose a better way— the way of service.
We are not created simply to exist for ourselves, but to reflect God’s love by serving others. Each of us has been uniquely shaped and gifted for a purpose. As we discover that together, let us empower one another to step into that purpose—within our church and our wider communities.
Our prayer is that this camp will inspire you, refresh you and remind you that you are part of something bigger. When we base our lives on the truth that we are created to serve, we become a living expression of God’s grace in the world.
May this Big Camp be a time of rich blessing for each one of us.

CHILD SUPERVISION
Parents are reminded that their responsibility for their children does not cease when they come to camp. While every care is taken and there are activities for children, camp is not a child minding facility. The conference does not take responsibility for the care of children during camp. Their absolute safety cannot be guaranteed. The ultimate responsibility for the care of children always remains with parents or guardians. Please ensure that the conduct of your children and young people is adequately supervised through the camp period, and that your children are fully under your control between meetings.

ATMs are not located at the Adventist Alpine Village but can be could in Jindabyne village. Coins will be needed for the onsite laundry facilities.
COUNSELLING SERVICES
Need someone to talk to?
Professionally trained counsellors are available to meet with you during camp at no charge. Limited appointments can be secured by visiting the camp office.

We want to hear what you have to say. The feedback form will be available starting this Thursday (25 April 2026). Please make sure to fill it out with your comments or suggestions. The survey will be open for one week from Thursday. Keep an eye out for the code and let your voice be heard!

There is a camp curfew for all campers at 11:00pm. This means that there will be a quiet-down period from 10:00pm, and that all campers should be in their accommodation and no noise between 11:00pm and 6:00am. Please have Christian consideration for others.
NOISE LEVELS
Noise levels are not to disturb other campers.
PARKING OF VEHICLES
Authorised vehicle entry to grounds will be between 6:00am and 10:00pm. One vehicle only per site is permitted; any additional vehicles must be parked in designated sites on the property. Provided car signs MUST be displayed at all times.
Car parking in designated car parks only. Only road-registered motorbikes can be ridden on the campground within the speed limit of 10km/h and keeping noise to a minimum.
PHOTOGRAPHY AT BIG CAMP
Most people taking photos of children at Big Camp are doing so for acceptable reasons and using appropriate methods. However, it is worth noting that many photographs taken in public places will include subjects who have not consented to their photo being taken. In Australia, generally speaking, there is no law restricting photography of people (including children) in public spaces as long as the images are;
• Not considered indecent
• Not being used for voyeurism
• Not being used for commercial purposes without a Model Release/ Consent.
However, where an event is held on private property, such as Adventist Alpine Village, the owners of the private property are able to restrict or ban photography. Understanding this, the Greater Sydney Conference requests that you adhere to the following guidelines when it comes to photography at Big Camp: Authorised photographers under the Communications Team have been employed to take photographs at Big
Camp.
They will be wearing a staff lanyard or hi-vis vest. If you do not wish your child to be photographed by the photographer for any reason, please contact the Camp Office and identify the children.
If you are taking photographs that include minors, please endeavour to restrict the images to those children that are related, or known, to you.
Due to child protection issues, photos of children at camp, other than those that are directly related to you, should not be posted onto the internet, social networking sites or any other form of electronic carriage service.
PROPERTY
Vandalism of any kind, including interfering with camp property, fences or notices, will result in prosecution and/or request to leave the grounds.
SKATE BOARDS, ROLLER SKATES, ROLLER BLADES, OR SCOOTERS ARE PROHIBITED
For the safety of all, we request that you do not use these on the grounds.
SECURITY
Security guards will be on the grounds 24 hours per day. Even with security in place we cannot guarantee the safety of valuables left unattended in your tents, caravans, etc. Camp Administration cannot be held responsible for the loss of your valuables. It is required that campers will respect and comply with instructions from security personnel.
SHOWERS
Remember that others are often waiting to use the showers, so please be efficient and considerate.
LAUNDRY
There are three (3) laundry facilities located onsite. One is designated for the chalets, one for the dorms, and one for the tent sites. Coins are required to operate the self-service machines. To protect the enviroment and the propety of other guests, refrain from using bleach products.
SPEED LIMIT
Hazards lights are required to be on at all times of the day and night when driving through the camp. Observe SPEED LIMIT of 10km/h at alltimes. Failure to do so will result in the individual being banned from driving on the grounds.
TOILET BLOCK CLEANING
Please remember that the cleaners are working hard to keep the amenities blocks well-stocked and in great shape with large numbers of people on site. Affirmation is encouraged and appreciated.
If you have any concerns, please report these to the AAV Office on 02 6456 2738. Cleaning times can be reduced considerably if campers can remain outside the amenities, or use alternative amenities, while they are being cleaned.
TREES
Please refrain from hanging any ropes, swings, washing lines or hammocks in trees. Adventist Alpine Village invest time and energy in maintaining their grounds. Respect the environment in which you are camping.
RUBBISH /WASTE
Always carry designated waste containers such as garbage bags, recycling bags, and compost bins. Deposit your waste in the appropriate receptacles.
If not in your immediate vicinity, place your waste containers in a convenient and accessible location within your campsite to encourage proper disposal when convenient. What you bring in, you take out.
JINDABYNE
Remember that you are a visting guest and a representative of the Seventhday Adventist Church at all times.

Across the South Pacific, our brothers and sisters are sharing the hope and healing of Jesus in places many of us will never see. From sunrise to sunset they serve—through rain and under the blazing sun—bringing the message of Christ to their communities.
This year Greater Sydney Conference has an opportunity to support our mission partners, Solomon Island Mission and American Samoa in their evangelism campaigns taking place in July as part of the Trans Pacific Union Mission's TPUM for Christ. The GSC Evangelism offering collected on 19 April this year will help in three important ways.
First, it supports Greater Sydney Conference to send out team members who will speak at the evangelistic campaigns that are being held across the islands.
Second, it supports local believers who labour faithfully with limited resources but generous hearts. Your gift helps strengthen their ministry as they reach people who are still waiting to hear the good news of Jesus.
Lastly, it helps provide for the families who open their homes to host and care for our volunteers. Their hospitality is a real sacrifice, and this offering helps ensure we come as a blessing, not a burden, as we serve alongside them.
You can give today through the offering plate, or online at eGiving.org.au. Via eGiving.org.au locate the tithe line: Evangelism - GS Conference
Thank you for your generosity and thank you for being part of God’s mission in both the Solomon Islands and American Samoa.

Partner Island Mission 2026
In 2026, the Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) is set to host Pacific for Christ, a large-scale evangelistic initiative aligned with the “I Will Go” strategy (Mission Refocus initiative), of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. This focus builds on the incredible impact of Papua New Guinea for Christ in 2024, where more than 100 pastors and members from Australia were a part of PNG for Christ and came home with a renewed enthusiasm for mission in Australia.
This year we have a special opportunity to support our partner missions in the Solomon Islands and American Samoa broaden their evangelistic reach.
