Infographic: Thai Films and Festivals, Bioscope Magazine, 2011. This is an infographic for Thai film magazine called Bioscope which has collaborated with Department of Industrial Design, Chulalongkorn University. This is a work from three fellow students including me to visualized the statistics of Thai film revenue statistics in each special occasion and festival in past years. Then we choose to represent the information with timeline to get clear picture of the revenue that split monthly.

Reun Thai Magazine, Cover and Content Design, 2010. This is an annual leisure Architect student magazine I was assigned to be the chief editor of the project in 2010. We designed the concept and content of the book which is aimed to mock the society in various ways from “25 Ways to Get Likes in Facebook”,“How To Sound Like Murakami” to “CREAMEO MEN:The Most Edible Bachelors from Architecture Faculty”.It was sold 1000 copies during summer of 2010, with experiments using variouscombinations of duotone design.

Nationaew Geographic Column, Layout, 2010. This is the three-pages parody column I wrote and did layout design for Reunthai Magazine. The content was about mockery documentary on Dek-Naew culture or hipster kids in Bangkok who are fond of hipstery stuffs. I chose the National Geographic design direction to explore in two-colour print to create three pages column.

The Nose, Book Cover, 2012. This is a book cover re-design project for Thai translated version of The Nose written by Nikolai Gogol, a russian satire author. The novel and author is famous for idea of absurdity. The story is about a man who woke up one day, and later found that his nose is absent from his face. So his journet of searching for the missing nose continues.

Freedom and Bondage, Book Cover Design, 2012. This is my personal project to re-design cover for my favorite childhood novel by Thai SEA-WRITE author, Wimon Sainimnual.

Tom Yum Keng, Visual Design, 2010.

TOM YUM KENG typical thai

It is a visual graphic design that refers to Thai famous dish, Tom Yum Kung which I re-arrange the ingredients of the dish into a deer for parody, Keng, in Thai Language means ‘deer’ animal. To express Thai sense of kitcsh spicy and playful culture.

SHOPH OUSE HOSTEL

SHOPHO USE

Shophouse Hostel, Identity Design, 2012. .This is identity design concept for a conceptual hospitality business called Shophouse Hostel. The hostel will be located in Chinatown area of Bangkok. It will be an alternative option for travelers who favor local tourism , who want to avoid touristic cliche like Khao San Road. The hostel is aimed to renovate yet preserve Bangkok shophouse style townhouses. The sign of glorious days of local business to deliver nostalgia of Thai-Chinese mixed culture. Nearby of Chinatown is near Bangkok central rail way station and easy access to boat transportation in Choaphraya River. The motto of business is ‘Explore The Real Bangkok’.

Man&God Russian Dolls, Surface Design, 2013. I was appointed to improve cutting templates for Man&God project and to design visual graphic based on how people diversely depicted God in their own context and culture. So I designed 3 sets of Russian Dolls. First is Bloody Russian dolls with violent graphic of war to represent how people use god as an excuse to kill each other. The Second set is the faceless dictator that in their own time. People worship them as god and leader. The last one is called, God Saves The Queens and Kings, too. It represents embossed silver sillhoette of monarchy in Europe country. Three sets I designed was a part of Man&God Exhibiton that took place in October 2013, London, UK.

The pattern of russian dolls was previously developed by previous staff of 3nity. But the finishing is not perfect and still very hard to fold because of not exact angle and curve. So I was appointed to test and refine the curve of pattern until it found the right curve and angle to make a perfect paper russian dolls. I need to research and make guideline for other artists how will apply their graphic design on russian doll for the project in the future.

Experimental visuals that I tried under the concept of faceless version of iconic dictator figures of human history. They were god for their followers in their own glorious times.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN AND KINGS,TOO.

Around the world, before the cruel French famous revolution. Monarchy is antique system how people rule the world. Now monarchy in Europe are modernised and the royal folks become more ordinary and humanly through time. Unlike godlike figure they used to be. The royal family russian dolls was created to appeal those European folks who still cherish the idea of monarchy and wants to have royally gold-embossed russian dolls in their household.

And kings, too.

Who invented religions?, Illustration, 2013. On the way of experimenting and thinking of how to depict god in different style and aspects. I tried to illustrate cute cartoon version of religious leaders. They are god-like figure for the followers. So I think it would be fun to make them friendly and humanly yet perfect in terms of inhumanly symmetrical. The reesult was interestingyet it wasn’t used for Man& God project.

Wattu-Niyom : Thailand Popular Objects Of Beliefs, Publication Design, 2013. This is a small books that collects illustration and fun facts about popular objects of beliefs in Thailand. Thailand is known to be a very superstitious society. I pick the color from Thai 7 color clothe (pah-jed-si) that usually wrapped around holy places to worship for mental security. Iuse fun and pop style to represent these popular objects and culture. It finally became a small books of 32 pages that represent Thai fun culture of beliefs and present cultural artefact in vernacular style.

Siriraj Medical Museum, Corperate Identity, 2013. Siriaj Medical Museum is listed as one of top attraction in Bangkok. It was famous for looking morbid and scary for younger people. While it really has so many interesting information and artefacts showed with long history. So I see the need to re-design Identity for Siriraj musuem that represents Complication of Human body system yet simplified with unity. The logo was made from 5 submusuems layered together to make the big picture of human body as a whole.

Stiff, Illustration, 2013 I chose my favourite books called Stiff to work on as an illustration project. The book mainly talks about what really happens to our bodies when we die. I chose surreal with dark humour style to work on.that gives out mood of mystery to represent the book that talks about grusome yet true and humourous about death. Death is surely topic of mankind to remind that we’re gonna die someday. Sooner or later.

...To think of the dead as structures and tissues, not a former human being.

But if their heart is beating, aren’t they still a person?

You lose sight of how odd you must appear to the world.

It is pity to throw them away with other rubbish.

I say let’s lift garden waste as high as human body.

They focus on parts, not the person.

They are very good at handling pain.

Theoretically, for as long as blood supply last, the head would be able to think, hear, smell.

DEADLINE, BOOK SET, 2014. After a whole semester of experimenting how to use visual communicate to make scary/gruesome stuff more appealing and friendly. I decide to focus my thesis on making a book of useful fact about death for Death Awareness (Morananusti) in youth careless generation. My purposeis to make death more friendly and less depressing and serious. With the concept of using continuous line throughout the book to symbolise that death and life is a process of each other. Death and Lifeis each other’s best friend. And we all should learn the basic and keep conscious and prepared for it physically and psychologically to welcome the inevitable.

Lithosphere tea set, Cerami Set, 2011. This tea set was aimed to remind that ceramic is made from rock and clay. Lithosphere refers the solid rock part of our beloved planet. No matter how much the material is transformed into any size and form. The material is from nature. It shows rock rough natural texture fused with neat ceramic geometric form.It expresses fusion of industrialized and natural raw process.

In Bloom tea set, 2010. Ceramic hand-crafted teaset for drinking flower tea. The concept is to explore clay which is a fragile substance before its firing in the kiln to be a hardened in ceramic ‘process. This work was featured in Playground column of a day magazine. It’s a part of Tesaka- nangnanacha ceramic exhibition for second year students at the time in ID Chula.

quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog . Quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog, Automata, Product Design, 2011. This automata is school assigned project in group of two. We designed an automata toy by following the the famous typography sentence as concept, “Quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog. In transparent box, showing the beautiful mechanics inside with gears and cranks. There the red sun is jumping above both lovely animals.
