The Diaspora is a magazine launched out of the need to make a clarion call for Africans to embrace their heritage even in a foreign land. The society is becoming more complex and with it comes the need for awareness.
There is a need for an African-based magazine since they are a limited commodity, especially in the diaspora. Most malls and vendors have magazines and newspapers based on foreign content but few of these magazines reflect on Africans. This will also serve as an avenue for fellow Africans in their home country to understand what the life of an African in the diaspora is truly like, since what they know is mostly based on tales and assumptions.
The Diaspora magazine focuses most parts of its content on the achievements of Africans and the black community at large to remind us that we are a beautiful race enriched with intelligence, beauty, focus and should be a positive force to be reckoned in the global community.
