XIV Vanhove Cattle Co. 1

Welcome, Friends! It is with great Excitement, Pride and Anticipation that we bring you this set of females for the 14th Annual Dakota Classic. Sheryl and I are so blessed for the life we have developed, raising and taking care of livestock. We are especially grateful and humbled each year at the overwhelming acceptance of our program through our repeat buyers and customers, and the inquiries and interest from so many new cattlemen to the Dakota Classic each year; for this we sincerely say “Thank You.” Our Excitement is for the opportunities these females can and will produce for you in your programs. Pride in the fact that these productive, proven, young cows come from the heart of our program and carry the service of only the most popular and marketable sires in the industry today. Many of these cows are being bred to club calf bulls for first time and have their entire productive lives ahead of them. The bred heifers are as powerful and maternally bred as we have ever offered and are a result of generations of lining up only our most productive and proven cow families with the absolutely most prolific maternal sires we could buy or utilize to bring young females that will add consistency, production and profitability to your programs. Our Anticipation each year is what you, our valued customers, clients and friends think of our offering and the results of a three-year plan to create matings, calve them, raise them, care for them, select calving-ease matings and present them for your evaluation. We feel this is the deepest, stoutest, soundest, best designed and most productive set of bred heifers we have ever brought to you, and our only wish is that you all make it to Sioux Falls February 2nd to see this set for yourself. You really can’t truly appreciate just how good they are until you see them in person. The greatest compliment paid to our program was the overwhelming acceptance of our calves offered in the 2018 pasture sale. So many of the great cattlemen who made the trip to Madison this past fall told us that we had the deepest, soundest and most competitive set of calves in the country. The production of these females is well documented. Maternal bred females mated to the most proven club calf sires in the business equals success. Our top 10 calves averaged $18,500, top 20 averaged $12,500, and the 47 calves averaged $9,250 and were purchased by the most discriminating cattlemen in the country. The same genetics that raised these calves are available to you February 2nd. The complete sale offering can be viewed at the farm anytime prior to January 30th. Please call if you have any questions about the cattle or if you may need buying assistance. We will help you in any way to arrange transportation throughout the Midwest and Southern states. Buy with confidence, and get with us immediately after the sale. We welcome you and humbly Thank You for your interest in the Dakota Classic, Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We look forward to seeing you all there. Please make the trip…you won’t be disappointed. We sincerely thank you and appreciate your friendship and continued business. See you at the sale,

Rob Vanhove

Vanhove Cattle Company retains the right to two successful flushes on every female in the offering, at the new owner’s convenience and the seller’s expense.

BREEDING GUARANTEE

All females are sold under the condition “safe in calf” as attested to by a licensed veterinarian and sell with no further guarantee. The ultrasound results reported are as accurate as possible but are not guaranteed. No guarantee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf.

“We’ve added several females over the past few years to our program from Rob and Sheryl Vanhove. We’ve found their versatility to adapt to our environment in Oklahoma from South Dakota to be very beneficial in their production. They calve easy, cycle right back, breed easy and raise calves that are always the heaviest in our herd. They’re built right for the times, whether we breed them for show steers or heifers. The females we’ve purchased have most definitely added to our bottom line each year. – Wes and Angela Holland, 177 Ranch (Oklahoma) “My father, Ron, and I have purchased a number of females over the last several years, and none have exceeded expectations like my investment in several lots at Vanhove Cattle Company’s 2018 Dakota Classic. These females were as good as advertised and are proving to be the kind of reputation cattle that provide the maternal genetics to become an asset, more than just a purchase, regardless the type of program. These cattle calved easy, bred back and in their transition into a different environment like Illinois, they didn’t just survive but they thrived.” – Bob and Maria Crandall (Illinois) “We have had great success with every cow we have purchased from Rob. Each of them has been put to use in our donor battery, and the results have been incredible with extreme consistency in producing elite quality, dollar generating stock. There has not been one we didn’t hit a home run on.“ – Tim Shaffer, Shaffer Show Cattle (Indiana)

DONOR DELUXE. We don’t want to sound like a broken record, but here is yet another example of what the Merlin x Powerline females are all about. This one is sired by Powerline and out of a powerful Merlin daughter that goes back to one of the most impressive Duff Angus OCC Joker cows you’ve ever seen. Line up these proven maternal Angus, Simmy and Maine genetics and great things are bound to happen. Study this female from the ground up, and you can’t believe just how stout, powerful and massive she is, yet she really brings a soft look through the center portion of her body and what a long, choke neck and presence. 708 could be one of the biggest hipped, heaviest muscled females in the offering, and with all her mass and power, she still gives you the look and profile of all the great ones. This one is destined to be a great donor, and genetically she gives you so many options for future production. 38
