“I see trees of green Red roses too I see them bloom For me and you And I think to myself

What a wonderful world I see skies of blue And clouds of white

The bright blessed day

The dark sacred night And I think to myself

What a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow So pretty in the sky

Are also on the faces Of people going by I see friends shaking hands

Saying, "How do you do?"

They're really saying I love you I hear babies cry I watch them grow

They'll learn much more Than I'll ever know

And I think to myself

What a wonderful world

Yes, I think to myself

What a wonderful world”

“Be Still and Know that I am God…”…,Psalm 46:10…

“Tis the Season…”…,

This time of year is filled with so much true… “Hustle, and Bustle…,” Parties, events, church activities…,lunches, ballgames, celebrations, gifts, shopping, more shopping…(the list could go on forever…,) It feels like an endless list of events that are non-stop…, and always in motion…. Have you taken time to stop and ponder?

I have personally…

The quiet is my friend…, in this season, and although I love so much about the season…(my dad did as well…,)…,so many do not have fun, merriment, and cheer…

Wives have lost husbands…

Kids have lost parents… Lay-offs have happened…, A diagnosis is given…, How will so many…, even be able to pay their bills?….,

There are parents who are stressed, because how are they going to provide Christmas…?…,

The hurting, the desolate, the homeless , the disheartened, and heartbroken…, Our fellow brothers and sisters,…need us at this time…

Not just a well wishing, but a true hand of help…

My dad always taught me…not to complain or whine about my problems….he taught me that there is always someone much worse off….

That has been one of my most valuable lessons if this life…., and for this season….

Sometimes we just all need to stop, and be grateful … Be still, and let God show us all…how we can help…

Only then will we all see…,how truly “rich” we are… Wishing you Hope, Peace, and Love…

This December, McNairy County is getting ugly!

Beginning the first Friday in December, I Love McNairy County challenges residents, schools, businesses, organizations and officials to take part in Ugly Sweater Fridays. The challenge will be on Friday, December 5th, 12th, and 19th.

ILoveMC is challenging to wear their ugliest Christmas sweater and post them on Facebook, tagging I Love McNairy County and using the hashtags #ILoveMC, #MerryMcNairy and #MCUglySweaterFridays.

This holiday challenge will help everyone get and stay in the Christmas Spirit, as well as enjoy more casual Fridays by wearing their ugly Christmas Sweater. Schools can challenge schools, towns can challenge towns, and elected officials can challenge other elected officials. Get involved by wearing your most outrageous, colorful, jingly, joyful ugly Christmas sweater each Friday and spread holiday cheer.

Why Your Hormones Could Be Holding You Back (and How to Fix It) - Flourish

You’re Not “Just Tired” — Your Hormones Might Be Talking

You’re smart, driven, and capable — yet some days, something feels off. Your motivation dips, your brain feels foggy, or your confidence suddenly disappears for no obvious reason. Maybe your sleep is unpredictable, or your weight feels harder to manage than it used to. You might chalk it up to stress or “getting older,” but the truth is: your hormones control far more of your daily experience than you realize. And when they’re out of balance, everything feels harder.

Hormones Rule Your Energy, Mood, and Confidence

Hormones act like your body’s internal messaging system. When they’re in harmony, you feel energized, stable, focused, and confident. When they’re off… you feel it. Here are a few key hormones women entrepreneurs need to know:

• Cortisol Your Stress Hormone

Too high? You feel wired, anxious, overwhelmed. Too low? You feel exhausted and unmotivated.

Thyroid Hormones Your Metabolism Regulators

Low thyroid function = brain fog, weight gain, fatigue, low mood. This is one of the most commonly missed issues in women.

• Estrogen & Progesterone Your Mood & Cycle Managers

Imbalances can cause irritability, anxiety, heavy periods, PMS, cravings, and sleep struggles.

Testosterone Your Drive & Confidence Hormone

Low testosterone is extremely common and leads to low motivation, low libido, and feeling “flat.”

Why Hormonal Imbalances Are So Common in Women Entrepreneurs

Your lifestyle plays a huge role:

Chronic stress raises cortisol

Long work hours disrupt sleep

Coffee replaces meals

Blood sugar is unstable

Nutrient deficiencies develop

Perimenopause begins earlier than most women realize Entrepreneurship + womanhood = the perfect storm for hormone disruption. But the good news? It’s fixable

The Symptoms Women Should Never Ignore

If you experience any of these regularly, your hormones may be imbalanced:

Low energy or afternoon crashes

Unexplained irritability or anxiety

Trouble focusing or remembering things

Weight gain around the midsection

Poor sleep

Low libido

Irregular or heavy periods

Feeling “unlike yourself” These aren’t normal. They’re signals.

How to Begin Balancing Your Hormones

Hormone harmony is possible and small steps make a powerful difference.

1.Prioritize Protein & Real Food Stabilizes blood sugar → stabilizes hormones.

2.Reduce Stress in Micro-Doses — Deep breathing, short walks, sunlight breaks.

3.Support Mineral Balance Magnesium, sodium, potassium, and zinc are essential.

4.Improve Sleep Quality Your hormones reset while you rest.

5.Test, Don’t Guess Functional testing helps uncover imbalances early.
