Monday always gets a bad rap. For most people, Monday is the least favorite day of the week. The Mamas and the Papas couldn’t trust Monday, Monday, the Carpenters complained about Rainy Days and Mondays, and The Bangles fretted about another Manic Monday! If they had just started the week off with Mac-Attack Monday at Zoo City Beastro their outlook would have been totally different!

Zoo City Beastro opened in 2020, amid the pandemic. Located on Portage Road, near the Kalamazoo Airport, Zoo City Beastro is a fun destination, and people are ready for some fun! The bar at Zoo City Beastro is long and luxurious; spacious with plenty of elbow room to spread out, or just hang out. There is ample space inside the restaurant to kick back and watch TV on a 75-inch screen! There is also a patio area outside with umbrellas to enjoy the magical days of summer. The menu at Zoo City Beastro is all about fun, too. The Monday Mac-Attack will beat back any Monday blues! Cavatappi pasta tossed with beer cheese and cheddar jack with bread crumbs that you can build on with a choice of meats --BBQ pork, ham, chicken -- or veggies! Simply delicious! There are outstanding appetizers and “Munchies” to get you in a happy mood: Don’t pass up the MegaPretzel with Beer Cheese! If you are a burger afi cionado, Zoo City Beastro is the place for you! The burgers are big and packed with tasty toppings, like The Western Burger; ½-pound burger with pepper jack cheese, barbeque sauce and bacon on Texas Toast, or the cleverlynamed Slobber Knocker; pepper jack, horseradish sauce and pepperoncini. And if you have a legendary appetite, try The Beast Burger: TWO ½-pound burgers with Swiss and American cheese and “fi nished with Everything and Deluxe.”

There are nearly 20 combinations of “Sandwiches N’ Stuff” like The Jackson; BBQ pork with coleslaw on top. Zoo City Beastro Baked Grinders include some original names like the Unconventional Italian Grinder with ham, salami and pepperoni, tomato and mozzarella, and the Pop Pop Grinder; a house favorite with roast beef, turkey, ham, Swiss and American cheese and sautéed mushrooms! Zoo City has Beastro Fried Chicken, and baskets of perch, shrimp and chicken wings. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3-6 pm with drink specials.
