Twenty of the most energetic, emerging producers from across Europe are selected to participate in the networking platform PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE at the Festival de Cannes 2015. Representing Switzerland this year, as recommended by SWISS FILMS, is Aline Schmid (Intermezzo Films, Geneva). After studying Social Sciences and Screenwriting she worked as Head of Distribution at Cineworx and as the managing director of the Cinema Tous Ecrans Film Festival. In 2011, she joined Intermezzo Films. Her much-acclaimed production BROKEN LAND was screened in Locarno and Rotterdam. Her two latest films – HORIZONTES and GANGBÉ! – have celebrated their world premiere at Visions du Réel 2015. Aline Schmid is looking for coproducers for Katharina Wyss' feature debut SARAH PLAYS A WEREWOLF and for Jacqueline Zünd's creative documentary ALMOST THERE about three men searching for meaning and happiness in the autumn of their lives.
