Great productivity from Rod West Swindon's Adult Education Organiser is leaving for another job after four years work in the area. Rod Kenseti, pictured below,

took up his post just before Greendown Community School opened in 1985. At the time there were 37 adults enrolled in four classes. In the adult education year just started, around 2,600 adults have enrolled in 180 classes of bewildering variety. Rod is moving on to be organiser of adult classes in schools across the centre of Swindon.

How to contact Paul Last month The Link welcomed Paul Ryan, a new community worker who is specialising in developing play opportunities for children. Unfortunately we managed to omit how readers can contact him. So that we don't drop it off the end of the story again, he can be contacted on 693787 ext.224 or 613183. Paul's job is to work with local people to create better play activities for children though not to organise playschemes directly. He is keen to meet people across West Swindon who have ideas about meeting the needs of children in their neighbourhood.

SAVE ,# RE-CYCLE

In our second look at how to put household waste to better use David Sea rby, co-ordinator of Swindon Friends of the Earth puts some ideas on page 20.

Re-cycle your old fools Tools for Self-Reliance are putting on a display in the West Swindon Library. You can leave any tools that can be reused by people who don't have any.

Are you fending towards Greeness? David Searby also suggest how we could consume without costing the earth on page 21.
