Hi Neighbour, I hear say that the bedrooms in some parts of West Swindon are a mite small!! So, why not buy a non-standard bed, say a 4' for the double room and a 2' 6" for the box room? Changewear stocks these nonstandard beds and offer a free headboard as well - but only if you read The Link Magazine. 17/20 HIGH STREET WOOTTON BASSETT TEL: SWINDON 853887

Help for Hungerford
APPEAL UN
A magnificent effort by members of the Link 45+ Club raised just under £800 for the Tragedy Fund in an all day collection at the West Swindon Centre on 10th September. Eight members of the Club, with help from two volunteers who came forward from the call for help in last months Link magazine, worked in shifts throughout the day. Club Chairperson John Price said it had been a long, tiring day. "It was hard for those who are quite mature in years, but we are very pleased by the support given to the Fund from shoppers at the Centre".
WHERE IS IT ALL GOING TO STOP? Residents of West Swindon are invited to a talk, illustrated by slides, about how Swindon's Western Expansion has come about and where and when it will finish.
West Swindon's GWR Majorettes spent the morning of Saturday 12th September making a whistle stop tour of Swindon in very wet and windy weather collecting for the Hunderford Tragedy Fund. Travelling to four different places in a coach paid for by Associated Management Services, the majorettes marched, drummed and twirled for a total of one hour and raised £300. The coach was made available at cost price by Thamesdown Transport Ltd. Although the troupe were soaked through at one venue, they were very pleased by the contribution they could make to the Tragedy Fund.
