Chip cooks climb for cystic fibrosis Two cooks who spend their working lives surrounded by frying fish and chips and hot pies are taking to the great outdoors next month to raise money for cystic fibrosis. And they want readers to help them exceed their target. Alan Clarke, manager of The Trawlerman takeaway at the West Swindon Centre, and Darren Brewer, right of photo, have set themselves the demanding challenge of climbing Britain's three highest peaks, Snowden, Scafell Pike in Cumbria and Ben Nevis, within 36 hours in mid-June. Company directors have agreed to donate lop for each piece of cod purchased on 21 and 22 June when Alan and Darren are away.
