A welcome from the Mayor of Thamesdown Doreen Dart

Link Magazine expands into North Swindon Last month we celebrated 15 years serving the need for community information in West Swindon. Now, with the openingofthenew road between west and north Swindon, we're extendingthe good things that The Link magazine has achieved in the west to the north of the town. For readers new to the magazine, The Link has proved itself an invaluable source of local news, views and information. Its relevance to the communities it serves, the quality of appearance and easy to read format makes the magazine unrivalled in the town. It is gratifying to hear so many people say they read The Link from 'cover to cover' because it provides the vital information they need. And we're glad to play our part in sustaining 'community spirit.' The fact that we have been successful through difficult economic times says a great deal about the confidence advertisers have in the

magazine's ability to get their message across. By increasing our circulation by over 30%, we now offer even better value for money.

I was delighted to hear that the circulation of The Link from January is to be increased to include the Haydon Wick and Woodhall Park areas of north Swindon.

I have long been a supporter of the notion that local community magazines can do a tremendous amount to help the bonding together of communities within the Borough and I welcome the initiative aimed Below: Linking communities. Mayor of Thamesd own Doreen Dart at the opening at keeping new residents informed of the new bridge linking west and north Swindon in November of local events. I believe that The Link is not only one of the most informative publications, but it is also a very attractively produced community magazine which is extremely popular in West Swindon. Jam sure that the residents in the new circulation areas will greatly appreciate regular information on local events and the views of local people. I wish you every success in your new venture.
