Children's work heading for top of the world Teacher puts real life into National Curriculum
Bosnia collection heads for 1 April target
A climbing expedition to the Himalayas is giving a local secondary school teacher the chance to develop close contact between primary school children and children in Nepal. MembersoftheWestSwindonbased Greendown School teacher Tim Noble has been given four weeks unpaid leave in September to go climbing in a remote corner of western Nepal usually barred to visitors. Tim has been invited to join the three man teamby High Court judge Sir William Blackburne who conceived the expedition in 1991 after giving a lecture on British law as part of the King of Nepal's birthday celebrations. In return for permission to visit the area, the three climbers will spend time working with Nepalase officials in the fields of law, banking and education.
