Road safety outside schools - Public meeting called Following a serious accident outside Freshbrook School in March, a meeting has been called so that people from all parts of West Swindon can discuss the problems outside schools near them. Parents, Governors, headteachers, staff and car drivers are asked to attend the meeting on Thursday 20 April, 8p.m., in the Community Suite at the Link Centre. A consortium of local Civil Engineering Companies have won a contract worth £15m with Eurotunnel for the excavation of cavity chambers. At present the Channel Tun- problem with Civil Engineering nel is running some 8 months Companies all over the UK. The behind schedule and Eurotun- local consortium should start nel have been discussing the work by June 1989.
