REMAPPING PLANNING The Department of Planning and Development (DPD) promotes “the comprehensive growth and sustainability of the City and its neighborhoods.” What if? . .. DPD recognized The Commonwealth as a demonstration of how Regenerative Neighborhood Development carries out the work of the Publics on a neighborhood scale? Using The Commonwealth’s bio-dynamic campus as a training ground, DPD could support the development of regenerative neighborhood nodes across the city by removing barriers to small-scale development and coordinating public and private resources. Each node would be driven by a small, multi-disciplinary team with deep roots in the community and equipped with the experience and belo capabilities illustrated below.
