Joyful practice Gratitude journaling– spend a few minutes each day writing down things you are grateful for to cultivate an attitude of appreciation and joy paying special attention to joy in connection. Include things that give you joy, experiences, people that bring joy into your life. For an extra joy, write down things that you love about your life in connections and add things that you love about yourself.

Observing Nature

February can continue to be a challenge for getting outside, but the night sky is an option, even if you use an app inside. This year there are quite a few celestial events. Star Walk 2 App is one of many available apps.

If going outside at night isn’t your thing, get up early to watch the sunrise or take a moment to watch the sunset.

Joyful Meal

Taco Feast

Set up a taco bar with various toppings and let everyone build their own tacos. Tacos are fun to make, fun to eat and a lot of prep and clean up. Go into this a realistic estimate of time and you will be more likely to experience joy in connecting with your food and your family and friends. Also, keep all spicy as an option, including seasoning your proteins.

The elaborate version: Mexican Please

For a more variety, here are a ton of options for you to mix and match: AllRecipes

Better yet, buy hard shell tacos, soft tortillas, a protein (ground beef, shredded beef, chicken, pinto beans, black beans, shredded pork), rice, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, avocado, lime, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, taco/salsa sauce, jalapenos fresh or pickled or other type of pepper, shredded lettuce, and any other vegetable or fruit or protein you want to chop up, including mango, fish, radish, corn, etc. make small sizes, put in small bowls, and let everyone assemble their own. My only recommendation is you buy organic for as much as you can, especially lettuce and have plenty of space in your refrigerator to store because you will always have something left over. Time conserved. Joy preserved.
