During my time as an art freelancer, I ventured into illustration design, which was quite different from my previous experience in architectural design. I had the opportunity to collaborate with several renowned Taiwanese companies, creating designer power banks, packaging for egg roll boxes, coasters, business cards, greeting cards, and more. I also collaborated with an author, designing the book cover page and interior illustrations.

The most significant learning experience during this period was honing my communication skills with clients and improving my time management. With a relatively flexible work schedule and high personal standards, I developed a need for efficient planning, scheduling meetings, and ensuring productivity.

Painting and creating are like a way for me to relax, allowing me to unwind from the stresses of life. Whether capturing my favorite destinations from travels, documenting cozy coffee shops, or delving into the trend of NFTs by creating characters, these endeavors have introduced me to a talented community of creators.

My choice of medium is always diverse, ranging from quick sketches with pen to watercolor impressions, and from oil and pastel paintings to digital illustrations. I enjoy experimenting with various forms, drawing inspiration from my travels and embracing a mindset of limitless creativity. This openness enables me to approach each creation with a wealth of ideas.

The architecture graduation exhibition, a culmination of five years of design work, faced a setback with the pandemic forcing a halt just a month before the scheduled showcase. However, the discovery of the istaging online platform provided a solution.

Coordinating logistics, managing virtual setups, and facilitating faculty speeches for the virtual opening, I transformed the crisis into opportunity. The platform mimicked a physical exhibition hall, yielding triple the viewership of past physical exhibitions.

This experience not only enhanced my leadership skills but also prompted a reevaluation of the potential of technology in exhibitions and the opportunities beyond geographical limitations.

The graduation design theme is "Reimagining Human Dwellings in the Post-Pandemic Era." During the outbreak of Covid-19, I was an exchange student in the Czech Republic, giving me a strong sense of how different countries respond to emergencies and how people's states change.

Therefore, I designed a post-pandemic residence, with three main themes: providing quarantine space for infected individuals, creating healing spaces for various emotional states, and designing post-pandemic living spaces.

By observing the five stages of human emotions: fear, protection, fatigue, stability, and longing, I have designed a new type of self-healing living space through the evolution of architectural design. However, human emotions are not singular; while experiencing fatigue, there may also be a longing for stability, and fear may be accompanied by longing. Therefore, I have further combined the created spaces in various cross-combinations, forming even more diverse styles. The fusion of emotional imagination with rational architectural design creates a novel form of self-healing living space.

Throughout my years studying architecture, both in university and graduate school, I have emphasized practical application.

During the master at UPC studying parametric design, we constructed a Gridshell using 3ways Timber, which served as an installation art piece. In my undergraduate years, I worked on a design project called "Between the Mountain and the River," which was an exhibition space.

On the path of architectural design, beyond mastering various software tools, I've learned essential skills such as translating ideas into designs, effectively communicating complex designs to clients, and creating designs with personal flair.

Architecture Works

Architecture isn't just about drawing on paper; it's about creating structures that are built in reality. It involves calculating weight, materials, and various natural factors to ensure structural integrity. It involves calculating weight, materials, and various natural factors to ensure structural integrity. We provided people with a resting space and was meticulously calculated and constructed using computer technology.

The 3 geometrical topological factors can be adopted as the influential reasons for the stability of a 3-way geodesic gridshell during the construction process. It can be applied as the guidelines when for making decision of the construction sequences of one project.

"Between the Mountain and the River," which was an exhibition space. Utilizing parametric design (Rhino, Grasshopper), calculated linear spacing to create a space that was inherently artistic yet didn't overshadow the exhibited items.

In this design, Grasshopper was utilized as a design assistant tool. Grasshopper's feature is its ability to rapidly generate effects that conventional design methods cannot achieve and allows for easy modifications. Leveraging this feature, gravitational elements were integrated into the ground for segmentation, using zoning methods to separate circulation and exhibition areas.

Interactive Design:

The exhibition space can be adjusted according to different exhibition themes.

Color Representation of Different Spaces:

Divided into five major exhibition areas showcasing videos, models, and layouts respectively.

Ambiguous Spaces with Varying Densities:

Guiding spaces to enhance the interest of the exhibition area.

Circulation Layout:

Due to limited space, a single directional circulation layout is adopted to ensure clarity and avoid inconvenience for visitors.

Transformation: Design markets are highly fluid and subject to frequent turnovers. By combining the flow of water with design flow, the design thinking should constantly evolve and adapt. The model resembles a mountain, becoming smoother and more refined over time. The aim is to create an interactive space, where ambiguous spaces are visible from multiple perspectives. Different spaces are represented by colors, and the circulation layout guides visitors along the optimal exhibition route.

Photography occupies a significant part of my life, whether it's travel photography, portraiture, or capturing everyday moments during walks.

In the digital age, using the lens of a film camera to capture beautiful moments allows me to document those precious moments in life.
