MARCH to bring in changes
EATON SOCIAL CENTRE
Wonderous Wednesdays
The In Centre activity days will no longer continue from March 2021. Wednesdays will now offer you all an opportunity to participate in additional outings and lunch dates!
Tremendous Thursdays
In Centre activity days: a special exercise session will be added to the exciting program and will be presented by Handa, Our Occupational Therapist, from 10.15am to 10.45am every Thursday morning.
New Wednesday OUTINGS
Every alternate Wednesday there will be a full outing. On alternative Wednesdays— a Lunch with Friends outing will be scheduled. A different lunch venue will be chosen for these get togethers. This will be charged at half the regular outing costs and you will be required to pay for your own lunch. Make sure you have approval for Social Support—Group Outings and join in the fun and adventure!

Bill was born on the 10th August 1963 at SJOG Hospital, Subiaco. His parents, Bill and Margaret, lived in Yarloop at the time. Bill still lives in Yarloop. Bill attended Yarloop Primary School and then completed his secondary schooling at Harvey Senior High. After completing school, Bill commenced work at the Yarloop timber mill. It was during this time in 1988 that he met his partner Darlene who was a Yarloop girl. Darlene was also employed at the time by the mill.
Bill and Darlene have four children. Bill says although Darlene was only sixteen when they met, their partnership is still going strong. In 2012 Bill had transferred to the Dean Mill and while he was driving to work he suffered a major stroke which badly affected his right side. Bill has not allowed this to mar his outlook on life and with the support of Darlene and his family continues to enjoy life. When asked what Men’s Shed meant to him, Bill quickly answered that meeting up with the boys each week was a big thing for him together with the general camaraderie experienced within the group. He also looks forward to attending the Terrific Tuesday exercise classes and the afternoon indoor carpet bowls. Bill is a very active member of our team.
