I am not at home contact details

I am not at home!

We are aware that many of you have very busy lives and are out and about. We are delighted about this. If, however, you have any SWCC services scheduled, please ensure that you are at home. If, for any reason, you will not be at home, please advise us at least 24 hours in advance. When a care worker arrives to complete a scheduled service for you and you are not at home, this can cause some concern for your well being. In this case the care worker:  will knock and call out loudly  do a check of the boundaries of the property and with neighbours  call the team leader who will attempt to contact you or your emergency contacts  If there is no response and we are unable to contact you, emergency services will be called to assist ie a call to the police.

Men’s Shed– Harvey

Harvey Men’s Shed members ventured out on the 17th March to the Bunbury Geographe Motor Museum (BGMM). After assembling at the shed we headed out at about 9.30am, calling in at Brunswick on the way to collect Wally. We had guessed we would be at the museum for just over an hour but misjudged the quality and number of exhibits and also the level of interest shown by the men. The main attraction seemed to be the large collection of vintage motor bikes. There were many comments about the different bikes on show and some of the boys reminiscing that they had ridden

one like it in their younger days. Also it transpires that two of the boys actually rode sidecar at Claremont speedway with a lot of interest in one exhibit similar to one they had ridden. I guess we should never be surprised at the amount of knowledge accumulated by our consumers over the years as the staff at the museum found out when they were able to have some facts about different exhibits clarified by the men. The time passed quickly and it was a struggle to get everyone to leave the museum and head for the Happy Dim Sim Chinese restaurant for lunch. Due to the level of interest we have pencilled in another visit to the museum later this year when the exhibits have changed—which happens a couple of times each year. All in all a great day out enjoyed by everyone.
