Society of the Upper Mojave Desert (HSUMD) has become a community center of activity that, among other things, recognizes and supports Veterans who have served our country. The ways HSUMD supports veterans are many and varied.

They include the establishment of a Veterans Memorial Building that displays and honors the stories of our local Veterans and their service. They include hosting a monthly Veterans Breakfast for all Veterans and their spouses at the Historic USO Building.

And HSUMD hosts a regular gathering of a Stress Support Group on Tuesday evening, starting at 1800 hours at the Veterans Memorial Building located at 230 W. Ridgecrest Blvd, the Stress Support Group meets under the leadership
