Carol Masters passed away on September 28, 2025 after a long illness. She left behind her husband, Howard Swader, sons Aaron Crook and James Swader and grandsons Dylan and Jace Swader. The family is planning to honor and celebrate her memory at the American Legion Post 684 on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 11am - 3pm. The address is 641 W. Inyokern Rd. We hope to share some stories and memories of her life and times while she was here with us. Chocolate banana puff pastry Ingredients 2 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 2 medium ripe bananas, halved lengthwise 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
Directions Preheat oven to 400°. In a large castiron or other heavy skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar until blended. Add bananas; stir to coat. Remove from heat Unfold puff pastry; cut into 4 rectangles. Place a banana half in center of each rectangle. Overlap 2 opposite corners of pastry over banana; pinch tightly to seal. Place on parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake until golden brown, About 20 minutes. Drizzle with chocolate. Serve warm, with ice cream or whipped crem if desired.
