The Masterplan provides detailed Architectural Development Regulations and Design Guidelines to ensure that the resulting development becomes a benchmark for new community development in Belgaum.
The project primarily consists of variety of housing such as row houses, courtyard homes, villa plots and apartments with ground-floor retail and a 150 bed super specialty hospital. The pedestrian-friendly design includes ground-floor retail center that seeks to create a Towncenter with a “high street” lifestyle and retail destination as the centerpiece of the community. Divided into a series of compact and fine grained blocks, the network of streets and open spaces tries to recreate the character of traditional neighborhoods.
Special emphasis is placed on the Landscape Concepts and Urban Design Guidelines to preserve the integrity of the Masterplan.
