Choosing the right shades Wearing sunglasses is one of our top five tips for healthy eyes. Harmful UV rays in sunlight can damage your eyes and may increase the risk of cataracts and AMD (age-related macular degeneration).

You should only wear sunglasses marked CE or British Standard BS EN ISO 12312-1:2013 for a safe level of UV protection. Always check the label!
