FRIDAY NIGHT FLICKS Thanks to our residents who were very patient when the DVD/Blu-ray player broke down during our August screening of Gigi. Fortunately, our alternative of The Last of the Blonde Bombshells proved to be a great substitute. We tried out the new equipment this month with The Pajama Game, and it proved to be very successful. We will rescreen Gigi in October.
DUTCH CLUB
With the Bentley Park Show being held on the first weekend in October, the Fish and chips moved to the second weekend, so to accommodate them we have moved to the third weekend. Our screening of Gigi will be on Friday 15th of October. All other arrangements stand.

YOGA CLUB

Come down and try your hand at Yoga! Residents are encouraged to bring their own mat, however there are spare in the wellness room. Requirements: resident needs to be able to get up and down off the floor unaided.

SOCIAL CLUB Inviting all SwanCare residents to a Country and Western Night with music by the Freight Train Band. A glass of wine served on arrival. SWAN VILLAGE BOWLING CLUB September has been a busy month with a gala day and our AGM. On September the 8th the club held the Patron’s shield which was a very successful day which included our patron, Swan Care CEO, as a player. The shield was won by the team of Chris Simms (Skipper), Barry Williams, Gwen Howard and Tom Wieman.

On the 9th of September the club held our AGM which resulted in a few minor changes to the management committee. Our new President is Chris Simms, Vice President Jim Leavy, Secretary Trish Cahill, and Treasurer Jim Figgins. All general committee positions were filled.
Come along and have a go at Qigong! Residents of all physical abilities are welcome. For those who don’t know what Qigong is, it is similar to Tai Chi where practitioners focus on posture, movement, breathing and meditation.
