COFFEE AND CATCH UP CLUB

Attendance has been excellent even though the weather has been very cold and rainy.

Are you losing your vision, and finding it harder to do those things that you’ve taken for granted all your life? Do you feel isolated and are you worried about what life holds for you in the future? Why not come along to our support group and get to know others in the same boat. You might be surprised who you come across.

An informal get together for people who haven’t been out much or people who would like to chat and relax with friendly folks. Make new friends or meet with old ones. All welcome! BYO cup if you would like a hot beverage.

Senior’s Menu - $19.95 includes coffee/tea or lemon lime bitters and soft serve ice cream.

In June, Adam Penn serenaded and danced with Maureen Waller. It made Maureen’s day as it was her birthday.

Main meal – Choice of Steak & Mushroom Pot Pie, Fish & Chips, Marinated Chicken Breast, Spaghetti Bolognese or 250g Rump Steak.

Our next Fish n Chips luncheon will be on Friday 2nd July. The Entertainers will be “The 2 Tenors”.

Additional dessert option – Sticky Date Pudding for $6. Bus will leave village at 5.30pm and return when all have finished eating and socializing. No need for a partner as we take 20 on each bus. Come along and join us! Please book a seat as soon as possible so I can confirm numbers with the restaurant and drivers.

SWANCARE AUXILIARY We are having a Bus Trip to Ravenswood Hotel for Christmas In July lunch. Please book your seat as soon as possible.

GARDENS INTEREST GROUP There will not be a meeting in July. The next meeting topic will be Native bees at 2pm Sunday 15 August in the Swan Centre. We hope to have a speaker for this meeting. Bring your questions and knowledge to share.

HEART FOUNDATION WALKING GROUP Residents of Rowethorpe and Bentley Park are welcome to join us for a 30 minute walk. We start at 7.30am every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. Walk yourself happy and healthy and have a chat along the way. Please feel free to get into contact for more information.

BOOK CLUB

SEATED EXERCISE GROUP Would you like to do a little exercise in the morning? We are not a club as such, just a gathering of people who have become friends but we would love to greet some new faces. The session only takes 25 minutes finishing with a friendly tea or coffee and natter.

FRIDAY NIGHT FLICKS July movie yet to be announced. The SwanCare bus begins its run at 6pm for free transport to the Auditorium, and home again afterwards. Doors open at 6pm, and movies begin promptly at 6.30pm, and there is a refreshment break – BYO mug. No need to book for the movie or the bus – just turn up!

SOCIAL CLUB Bastille Day Concert Join us for a celebration of Bastille Day (a taste of France) with sumptuous afternoon team including a glass of champagne on arrival. SOCIAL DANCE Our June dance was a good, fun evening. Thank you to all the people who braved a cold evening to join us. We soon warmed up doing 12 line dances and 11 other fun, country and novelty dances.
