HEART FOUNDATION WALKING GROUP Residents of Rowethorpe and Bentley Park are welcome to join us for a 30 minute walk. We start at 7.30am every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning. The walks are free to join and are followed by tea and coffee and a chat. A great way to make new friends! Walk at your own pace. Some stride it out while others go along at a more leisurely pace or use walking frames.

FISH ‘N’ CHIPS ON STRATTON

VILLAGE EXERCISES Would you like to do a little exercise in the morning? We are not a club as such, just a gathering of people who have become friends but we would love to greet some new faces. The session only takes 25 minutes finishing with a friendly tea or coffee and natter.

DUTCH CLUB Brush off those Dutch language cobwebs and come along for a chat. Whether you would like to learn more or reminisce on the older times, all are welcome.

COMPUTER CLUB Basic Tuition for sending and receiving emails, how to search the web, printing etc. Instruction is given on the equipment supplied by the Computer Club.

HANDICRAFT The Handicraft Group has continued to meet on all Monday afternoons in December and January. Our main aim is to build up a supply of handmade items for future stalls - the profits of which go towards purchasing things for the care facilities at SwanCare. However, we were asked to help out with 2 outside projects. In December members made a large number of blankets for the Dog Refuge and in January we were busy knitting over 60 squares for the Orana Primary School’s project of creating a ‘calming tree’ where children could unwind.

Everyone welcome. You don’t have to dance, just come along for the music and a chat.

LINE DANCING We now have an Intermediate Line Dancing session for more advanced dancers and those who would like to try some more difficult dances at 11.00am following morning tea. We still have the usual session from 9.30am until 10.30am and everyone is welcome to come and give it a try. We are very sorry that Peter and Shirley can no longer help due to ill health, but really appreciate their support over the last 7 years. Many thanks.
