Our September Coffee Morning guest speaker will be police sergeant Leonie James, Community Engagement Coordinator. She is keen to get to know residents, so come with lots of questions.

FRIDAY NIGHT FLICKS The September movie is Bran Nue Dae. A charming new West Australian-based, musical-comedy starring Academy Award winner Geoffrey Rush. A feature film adaptation of the 1990 stage musical, the film tells the story of the coming of age of an Aboriginal Australian teenager on a road trip in the late 1960s. Don’t forget that the SwanCare bus begins its run at 6pm for free transport to the Auditorium, and home again afterwards. Doors open at 6pm, and movies begin promptly at 6.30pm with a refreshment break. No need to book for the movie or the bus – just turn up! Any children under 16 will not be charged.

BENTLEY PARK DINERS Mains: Fish and chips, Chicken schnitzel with chips, Rump steak with chips. Dessert: Sticky date pudding, Pavlova. Tea & coffee station included. Bus will leave village at 5.30pm and return when all have finished eating and socializing. No need for a partner as we take 20 on each bus. Please book seat as soon as possible as I need to let the Restaurant and drivers know. Come along and join us!

COMPUTER CLUB

SNOOKER CLUB

Situated in an air-conditioned room our volunteer staff are there to help our members with any computer problems. Join us to get answers on any questions you have on Windows 10, or anything relating to computers, printers or internet. We cater for vision-impaired members and have special adapted keyboards for use. Our facilitators are trained to assist.

Playing sessions have now started! For any further information please get into contact – all welcome!

BINGO CLUB

HANDICRAFT Handicraft now has a new home in the Activity Room, ground floor of the Leisure Centre. We would love to see any new people who wish to come and bring their knowledge of craft - everyone is very welcome to join us.

LINE DANCING Line Dancing is back in the Auditorium! Everyone is welcome to give it a try, you can just do the dances you want to. I demonstrate and “walk through” each dance first, depending on your ability you can even do them sitting in a chair, or just watch and join us for morning tea.

BENTLEY PARK BOWLING CLUB

The Bentley Park Social Club invites all residents to attend a concert with E Sharp Jazz Band. The band plays all types of jazz, and the female vocalist will entertain us with great jazz standards of Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Bassey, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, and several others. Due to restrictions there is a limit of 100 free tickets that can be collected in the Auditorium on Tuesday 8th September between 9am and 10am and afterwards from Administration (if available).

Residents of Rowethorpe and Bentley Park are welcome to join us for a 30 minute walk. We start at 7.30am every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. The walks are free to join and are followed by tea and coffee and a chat. A great way to make new friends! Walk at your own pace. Some stride it out while others go along at a more leisurely pace or use walking frames.
