KINGIA/TANDARA & WAMINDA AUXILIARY February 26th is the first meeting of the new year and annual fees are now due. The fee remains the same - $10 or $2 to attend as a visitor. All meetings start at 1.30pm and are followed by a guest speaker and afternoon tea. This month’s speaker is Rebecca Carbone who has survived a stroke and is a cancer fighter.

VILLAGE EXERCISES Would you like to do a little exercise in the morning? We are not a club as such, just a gathering of people who have become friends but we would love to greet some new faces. The session only takes 25 minutes finishing with a friendly tea or coffee and natter.

FRIDAY NIGHT FLICKS

We have a wonderful programme lined up for 2019. Together with some of our popular regulars we have some new entertainers booked. They include the Two Tenors, The Entertainers and Perfect Storm. Our concerts commence on Friday 1st February. We will be celebrating Valentines Day with our guest artist the very popular Rockin Ronnie. Bookings are available on the day for the following month or by contacting Lesley on 6250 0590. Tickets are $15.00 which includes drinks & nibbles (red & white wine, beer, soft drinks & juice). Fish and chips served with a fresh garden salad followed by an hour of quality entertainment & Afternoon Tea. Come along & spend an enjoyable few hours socialising with friends & neighbours. Doors open 10:30am. See you in the Auditorium in February!

On the second Friday of every month one of the great musicals of the 20th century will be shown in the Auditorium. The SwanCare bus will begin its pickups at 6pm, and will take you home at the end of the evening. There will be a short refreshment break during the movie, which runs for 128 minutes.

Situated in an air-conditioned room our volunteer staff are there to help our members with any computer problems. We have now converted three computers to Windows 10, join us to get answers on any questions you have on Windows 10, or anything relating to computers, printers or internet.

We cater for sight impaired members and have special adapted keyboards for their use, our facilitators are trained to assist, call in to check us out.

BENTLEY PARK CASINO ROYALE A fun day out and lovely lunch for $10. Even if you don’t wish to gamble, it’s nice to be out and about with friends. The choir has participated in a workshop with Raylene, a musical director who has her own choir. Everyone has agreed this was a worthwhile venture. Our next lunch outing is confirmed for the 7th of March at Avocados restaurant, Brookton highway, Kelmscott. Buses will leave at 11.15am from administration and pick up at RCC, Drummond Apts. and at the laundry for MCC residents. Check the club notice board for the cost, to record your name, and see the menu. The last day for acceptance and payment is Saturday 2nd March.

All new and old residents are welcome to join us for a cuppa and chat. We meet to enjoy doing our own craft or working towards making goods for our stalls. These funds go towards raising money for extras not in the budget and for the comfort of residents in our three care facilities.

SOCIAL DANCE Ballroom, line, novelty & fun dances. Come to chat, dance or just enjoy music. No partner necessary. BYO. Light supper, tea & coffee provided. Everyone welcome. Our first dance of the year will be held on Saturday 19th February. We look forward to seeing all our regular dancers and hopefully some new faces. In March our dance will not be held on the 3rd Saturday as the St. Patricks Day dinner/dance falls on Sunday 17th March. We all look forward to this event. In April a dance/party is being planned for Saturday 13th, a week earlier than our usual date due to Easter. Plans are underway to make this a special Easter Dance. Remember “Life is short and there are always dirty dishes, so let’s dance.”
