Heavy Haulage

Known as “the home of Heavy Haulage”, Hallett Silbermann has an extensive and diverse fleet of specialist vehicles and trailers capable of delivering loads up to CAT 3 STGO (150 tonnes GVW).

• Hallett Silbermann has an extensive and diverse fleet of specialist vehicles and trailers including Low Loaders and Semi-Low-Loaders offering full rear

steer, extendable and height adjustable platforms, air suspension and power winches.

• The diversity of the fleet, combined with the expertise and professionalism of our highly experienced drivers and support crew ensures that we can provide a reliable and fully compliant Heavy Haulage service for abnormal loads up to CAT3 STGO (150 tonnes GVW).

Alongside the capability to move heavy and abnormal loads, the Hallett Silbermann team also operate standard trailers and units which can support larger projects by offering solutions for those items which can be moved on standard equipment.

This equipment forms part of the larger flatbed capability within the Swain group and complements specialist movement activity..

Self Loading Cranes

Each vehicle carries a comprehensive range of lifting tackle, we can lift and carry a huge range of materials and products.

§ Our fleet of Lorry Loader Cranes (“HIABS”) include both Rigid and Articulated vehicles rated up to 66 tonne/metre. As part of the Special Projects Division of the Swain Group, we extend out service offering to provide state-of-the-art HIAB units up to 100 tonne/metre, with either front or rear mounted cranes complete with Fly Jibs to meet the most demanding technical lift applications.

Escort Services

Essential services for the safe movement of abnormal loads, we offer private escort vehicle hire to ensure that loads travel safely and alert other road users and reduce risk of incidents .

§ As well as an extensive range of vehicles that are capable of dealing with a wide variety of abnormal loads, we can provide expert advice on the regulatory and compliance aspects of any haulage project.

§ This includes liaison with all necessary authorities and official bodies, including the provision of essential documentation. We can also provide a full route survey to identify any potential problems, propose solutions and –if needed –make appropriate arrangements, such as road closures or the removal of road signs and street furniture.

§ All escort vehicles are regularly serviced, maintained and equipped to optimum standards to ensure that they are fully reliable on every job. Our escort vehicle drivers are also fully trained in the specialist skills needed to provide a successful escort vehicle service.
