Welcome

We wanted to take this opportunity to update the network membership on our progress, and to welcome new members to the network. As a busy and unprecedented 2021 draws to a close, we can reflect on a year which allowed our team to lay the foundations for the flatbed network and to develop relationships with the first 100 members of the network.

Weekly loads have been growing consistently since September of this year and we are now achieving over 300 loads per week

We are also starting to introduce the capabilities of the flatbed network to our established customer base, these customers are also keen to expand capacity and the additional support the flatbed network membership can give is a welcome addition to a large portfolio of existing construction sector clients, these customers are keen to benefit from the networks growth. From January it is also planned to issue monthly data packs to each member on the previous months

The network target in 2022 is to achieve 500 loads per week by the end of Quarter 1 to reach 1000 loads per week by the year end. We have many exciting opportunities in the pipeline which have relevance to both flatbed, MOL and curtianside operators which can benefit our partners throughout the UK.

What this means for members is that our specialist Sales Division will continue to tender for large contracts and The Flatbed Network will liaise with members who are a synergistic fit for those areas/load types. Please take a look at our ‘New Opportunities Coming Soon’ section to see what exciting new opportunities we have upcoming, come the beginning of 2022!

There is always space for new members to join the network through our ‘Refer a Member’ scheme and we welcome any existing members to contact Bobby Dhadwal on bobbydhadwal@ flatbednetwork.co.uk should you want to discuss further avenues or routes you may want to take up.

With continuous expansion in the Network and additional contracts and loads available to the network in Quarter 1 of 2022 – we will be working on the introduction of a dedicated traffic team to assist with ALL Flatbed network loads. This will then mean you maximise your fleet capabilities whether on a round trip or backload basis.

Having promoted the Flatbed Network at Multimodal in October, we were delighted that so much interest was shown by the attendees at the show, the Flatbed network was featured at the very centre of the exhibition.

We have already committed to attend once again in June 2022 and we will speak to you all about how your brand can be featured closer to the time.

In line with recent contract wins we are now making the Network accessible to Curtain side vehicles.

Early 2022 has seen new development opportunities with contracts confirmed for both Flats & Curtains from a number of locations:

Opportunity 1: Curtain & Flatbed loads for National Distribution from London Gateway (SS17 9DY) – 10/20 loads per day.

Opportunity 2: Traction only solution for the movement of trailers on a round-trip basis from the Port of Tilbury – 50/70 loads per day.

Opportunity 3: Curtain & Flatbed loads for National Distribution from Sheerness port for National Distribution - 20-30 loads per day Opportunity 4: Curtainside movements from South Essex for National Distribution – 20/30 loads per day.

Opportunity 5: Curtainside loads from Liverpool Port for National Distribution – 10/15 loads per day.

MARKETING & OTHER BUSINESS We are shortly to embark on a national brand awareness campaign to introduce the wider construction sector market to the capabilities of the Flatbed Network.

Larger Tenders are already under negotiation on behalf of the network but a targeted campaign to ensure the networks capabilities are understood across the sector is vital.

The Flatbed Network are delighted to announce we will be participating at both UK Construction week and Multimodal in 2022 with the specific aim of establishing the FBN as the pre-eminent solution provider to the construction sector.
