THE SWACU NEWSLETTER SPRING 2021 SUMMER 2021 It seems like things are starting to return to “normal” after 15 months of uncertainty, grief, loss, and sadness in our personal and business lives. You are important to SWACU, and we are happy to begin moving past the hardships of the pandemic for our staff and our members. It feels great to see people traveling again, experiencing family gatherings, and finding joy where there might not have been a year ago. At SWACU, we are counting our blessings and hope you are finding ways to do the same. In June we celebrated the 50th birthday of our main sponsor company Southwest Airlines. This was an exciting time for them as just one year ago they experienced some of the worst days for the airline industry ever. Now they are poised for an amazing comeback and, as I experienced personally on a recent trip to our Houston Branch, the planes are full again. Congrats Southwest Airlines!! In more good news, SWACU is moving full steam ahead on the implementation of our new CORE Processor. Our staff is working hard to make sure every detail is evaluated and handled seamlessly in our new system. In the days ahead, we will begin to share more detailed information on dates for the transition to the new system, areas that will directly affect our members and items that might look different for you. Stay Tuned. If you are ready to have some fun this summer and fall, do not forget we dropped all our loan rates! Let us finance your vacation, new auto/ boat/RV, home purchase or tuition this fall.
