ANNUAL MEETING & ELECTION NOTICE
5:00 P.M.
Remember bringing home a report card from school? A few grades The Forgotten Report Card could tell a story about your habits, effort, and overall performance. Your credit score works in a similar way.
We will hold our Annual Meeting at 5:00 p.m. on December 10, 2026. The Annual Meeting will be held at Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union, located at 2430 Shorecrest Drive, Dallas, TX 75235.
While it doesn't measure how well you perform in school, it does provide lenders with a snapshot of how you've managed credit over time. Whether you're applying for a vehicle loan, mortgage, credit card, or other financing, your credit score can help lenders evaluate your creditworthiness.
This year, one position is open for election to the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee, appointed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, has nominated one member to fill the open Board position.
What exactly goes into a credit score?
Captain Dave Retnam has worked at Southwest Airlines since June 2001 when he was hired as a First Officer. He upgraded to Captain in August of 2008 and became a Chief Pilot in February 2014. During that time, he established and led the Chief Pilot team in the NOC, and as Senior Manager of Flight Operations, ran many programs on behalf of the System Chief Pilot, to include Pilot Hiring, and Crew Hotels. In that time, he founded the Destination 225 Pilot Pathways Program. He also established the Crew Assistance Program, and had oversight of all Flight Operations joint budget items with the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association. In April of 2024, Dave returned to flying on the line full time as a Captain and currently serves in that role. He also owns an aviation consulting company and aids aviation companies in building stronger safety systems.

At Southwest Airlines Credit Union, our greatest success stories come from our members, and Stefan Tomoiaga’s journey is a perfect example of how we strive to support your financial goals every step of the way. Stefan has been a valued SWACU member since 2011 and has built a strong relationship with us over the years, utilizing multiple loan products to meet his evolving needs. From day-to-day financial solutions to long-term goals, he’s trusted SWACU to be there for him, and we’re honored to have played a role in his story. In 2025, during a station visit in San Antonio, we had the pleasure of connecting with Stefan and sharing information about the many benefits SWACU offers, including our construction loan options designed to help members take their dreams from blueprint to reality. Fast forward to 2026, and we were thrilled to reconnect with Stefan and hear his exciting update, during another station visit in San Antonio. He proudly shared a photo of his nearly completed new home, a milestone made possible through careful planning, dedication, and the right financial partnership. Seeing our members achieve their goals is what drives SWACU every day.
