Seventy Years of Light Dr. Harish Mirchandani A doctor, a visionary, and the heart of SVIS Kompally.

At 70, Dr. Harish Mirchandani measures life not in years, but in lives touched. He built our school on one belief: education must grow both mind and conscience.

In our halls, his legacy is simple — the gardener greeted by name, the shy child encouraged, the student asked “What are you creating?” not “What are your marks?”

Like Hughes’ goldfinch, his presence brings our laburnum tree to life.

Labs hum. Fields thrill. Ideas fly.

Seventy years young, he still stokes our engine. His greatest gift? A student with a certificate in one hand, and a conscience in the other.

Happy Birthday, Doctor Sir. SVIS isn’t just your school.

It’s the family you built — launching towards the infinite.

Welcome to the March and April 2026 newsletter, where achievements are celebrated and events are highlighted. We are also delighted to introduce our new club, Bytes and Broadcast, a place where some stories are meant to be read. In our Newsletter, we write about the great feats taken by students, from winning competitions that honor our school’s name to interviewing celebrities, and every other cherished moment that turns life into an unforgettable journey. A special column, ‘Students’ Creative Corner,’ publishes original student work. We had a blast making the newsletter, and we look forward to you enjoying it as much as we did while creating it.

Dr. Harish Mirchandani received the Rotary Vocational Excellence Award on March 23, 2026.

Heartiest congratulations to our esteemed Chairman, Dr. Harish Mirchandani on being honoured with the Rotary Vocational Excellence Award 2026 by the Rotary Club of Cantonment Secunderabad.

This prestigious recognition celebrates his remarkable journey as a distinguished physician, visionary educationist, and compassionate humanitarian. With over four decades of unwavering dedication, Dr. Mirchandani has touched countless lives through ethical medical practice, valuebased education, and selfless service to society.

Principal G. Arpitha was honored with the EduHonours award at the 20th Education Summit in Hyderabad on April 22, 2026.

Our Classical Dancer Akshara Iyer’s Arangetram - 4 th April We are immensely proud of our student, Akshara Iyer, whose Arangetram was a mesmerizing celebration of grace, devotion, and artistic excellence.

Her performance beautifully reflected years of dedication, discipline, and passion, as she seamlessly blended intricate footwork with expressive storytelling. Guided by her guru, Akshara showcased remarkable confidence and maturity beyond her years. It was a proud and unforgettable moment for our school to witness her milestone in the classical art of Bharatanatyam. A special moment of appreciation was presented to Akshara on behalf of Sadhu Vaswani International School, along with their best wishes for her bright journey ahead.

Trashion Show The SVIS 2026 Gala!

Students of Grades 9-12 transformed trash into TREASURE on the ramp, proving sustainability can be STYLISH! From newspapers to plastic bottles, cardboard to old CDs, creativity knew no bounds! Huge shoutout to all participants for rocking the ramp and spreading awareness about eco-friendly fashion.

Bin to Bling – Best Out of Waste Competition Our Grades 6–8 stars turned everyday trash into treasures, channeling their inner inventors to craft stunning, functional art from waste. Each solo creation sparkled with originality, perfectly embodying the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a greener planet.

The Emoji Adventure – Story Telling Competition

The Emoji Adventure – Story Telling Competition held on 9th April 2026 was a joyful celebration of creativity and expression. Students of Grades I and II confidently narrated engaging stories using expressive emojis and lively voices.

Their imaginative ideas and stage confidence made each performance unique and enjoyable. We congratulate the winners for their excellent storytelling and creativity.

Every child contributed in making the event lively and memorable.

Sur Sangam Solo Music Competition Sur Sangam – Solo Music Competition was held on 10th April 2026, creating a divine and melodious atmosphere. The sanctuary echoed with soulful tunes, forming a truly serene and harmonious ambiance as 35students from Classes III to V participated with great enthusiasm. The young performers mesmerized the audience with bhajans, Annamacharya kirtans, and popular songs, accompanied by musical instruments such as the guitar and keyboard.

Participants were judged on song selection, pitch, rhythm, melody, and overall presentation.

The event beautifully blended devotion with talent, leaving the audience captivated. Our Headmistress, event in-charges, teachers, and students lauded the spiritual atmosphere created by the young singers.

World Heritage Day On the occasion of World Heritage Day our school’s students' visit to Devaryamjal Ramalayam was an unforgettable journey into the cultural roots. The students marveled at the temple’s intricate architecture and timeless design, feeling a deep connection to the minds that built it centuries ago.

Sharing the space with inspiring minds like Ecologist Arun and Srikanth Talluri, Founder Chair of 6D Varsity made it richer. Discovering the serene 800year-old well left the young scholars feel awestruck.

Investiture Ceremony The Investiture Ceremony at our school was conducted on 22nd April with great pride and enthusiasm, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership and responsibility. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the pursuit of knowledge, followed by an inspiring thought to set the tone for the day.

The gathering was warmly welcomed by Our Principal Ms. G. Arpitha, after which the newly appointed House Wardens were introduced. The ceremony formally began with the conferring of badges and responsibilities to the Student Council, instilling in them a sense of duty and commitment. The Head Boy led the Oath of Honour, promising to uphold the values and dignity of the school.

English Day Literature flows The English Day celebration assembly at Sadhu Vaswani International School was held with great enthusiasm under the inspiring theme “Arise, Awake, Ascend.” The programme began with an engaging bulletin news presentation, setting a lively tone for the event. This was followed by a captivating sonnet and role plays from Macbeth and Julius Caesar, which brought Shakespeare’s timeless works to life.

Reyaansh Anand An Achievment Our young champion, Reyaansh Anand of Class II-G, showcased exceptional talent and determination at the 15th Silent Knight International Karate Cup 2026, held in Malaysia from April 17th to 19th. Competing against Inside: from countries like Indonesia, participants Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, India, Pakistan, Iran, and Denmark, Reyaansh rose to the challenge with remarkable confidence.

He secured a Silver Medal in the 6 – 7 Years Boys Individual Kata category, bringing great pride to the school.

His achievement at such a prestigious international platform reflects his dedication, discipline, and fighting spirit. We congratulate Reyaansh on this wonderful accomplishment and wish him continued success in his future endeavors!

Adivi Sesh Lucky them, right?

Our students Aadvika, Niha, Niheera, and Aliza had the incredible opportunity to interview actor Adivi Sesh about his upcoming film, Dacoit.

It was inspiring to hear about his hard work and dedication. But what left us truly speechless was his humility. As the interview wrapped up, he surprised everyone by asking, “Can I take a photo with you girls?”

Heartfelt thanks to our Principal, Arpitha Mam, Mentor- Shriyah Ma’am, The Under-18 World, and our school for making this unforgettable experience possible.

Venkat Ram Reddy Our Skating Ace

Pride of the Dojang Bodla Vihar & Deeksha Reddy

Our students have brought immense pride to the school with their outstanding performance at the 9th Telangana Taekwondo Championship – National Selections held on 26th April 2026 at Saroornagar Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad. Bodla Vihar Sairaj of Class IX–E showcased exceptional skill and determination in the Below 65 kg category, securing a Gold Medal and earning a prestigious selection for the Nationals. Adding to the glory, Miryala Deeksha Reddy of Class VIII–G delivered a commendable performance in the Below 45 kg category, winning a Silver Medal. Congratulations to both our champions for their dedication and remarkable achievements—we wish Sairaj the very best for the Nationals!

We are immensely proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our student, Venkat Ram Reddy of Grade 9-F, who brought laurels to the school at the prestigious 2026 Taiwan Artistic Roller Skating Open held from 13th to 19th April 2026.

Showcasing exceptional talent, dedication, and sportsmanship on an international platform, Venkat secured a remarkable medal tally — Gold in Couple Skating, Silver in Solo Skating, Silver in Show Group, and Bronze in Quartet Skating. His performance is a true reflection of his perseverance, discipline, and passion for the sport.

His success not only highlights his individual excellence but also his ability to shine as a team player with grace and confidence.

Venkat’s achievement is an inspiration to all our students to dream big and work relentlessly towards their goals.

Proud Moment for Our School!

Jatin from Grade 10 E won the Bronze Medal as Founder & CEO of 'ETHOS LENS' at the Young CEO Startup Program 2026, IIIT Hyderabad on 29th April 2026.

Leading his team through 4 days of innovation, business planning & Shark Tank-style pitching, Jatin stood out among students from Grades 8-12 across India.

Special thanks to his mentor, Shriyah, for guiding the team to success. ThinkStartup's YCEO Program is truly building India's next-gen entrepreneurs!

Creative Corner An Ordinary Man! -Shreenidhi Dey, XD.

“Ticket, ticket, ticket!” he shouts through the crowd, his voice loud and clear, but not to fear, He is no ordinary man; He is a bus conductor.

Row to row, passenger to passenger, he moves, each with a unique story, how exciting to know!

He knows each stop, each turn, each step, each churn.

One hand clutching the tickets, The other coins to spare.

He glares if you don’t have money to give.

Sure, he’ll let you live, but not on the bus.

He thinks, "how passengers come in a rush, and go in a gush!"

The noise of cries, the noise of sighs, the noise of lives— He detects them all alike!

At last, the journey fades into the past. He steps down, no crowd, no cloud; Just his earned peace of the day.

Echoes of passengers linger in his mind, A thousand stories, undefined.

After all, he is the bus conductor who must hear stories to tell.
