Faith is what sets St. Vincent de Paul apart. We
help neighbors meet their basic needs, but we also go further – striving to provide emotional and spiritual support through compassionate, person-to-person assistance. Your generosity helps ensure our neighbors have access to the essentials throughout the year. Now, as Christmas approaches, we invite you to lift up our neighbors in prayer. Each prayer in this booklet was submitted by a neighbor seeking services from St. Vincent de Paul. Their words represent the hardships, dreams, and joys of this challenging year. Thank you for praying for and with our neighbors in need this Christmas season. We will be praying for you, too.
Lord, bless us with a home. We have been struggling for a long time finding permanent housing and we pray for it. We also pray for protection and peace wherever we go, and strength. Amen.
I pray that the human race can change for the better, one step at a time. Pray for my life to get better and for God to send me in the right direction.
I pray to accept and place things in the hand of my Father. I pray to be stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually. To be a better mom and person, to be better at forgiving myself and others.
Pray for me and my three children, that we find a place to call home. Pray that I get better, I’ve been sick since I lost my home. Please pray for my brother. He’s waiting for a liver. Please God bless him with a liver transplant. He is at UC hospital on the waiting list.
Please pray for my son & I to find housing, and a job for me. We are homeless, carless, and unemployed. Thank you. Pray that I find daycare for my children, so I can start my new job. Pray that I find housing for me and my kids.
