Accra Shepp is a proud humanist, and it shows in his life’s work as an artist and activist. A faculty member in the MFA Fine Arts and BFA Photography and Video programs at SVA, as well as a recent addition to the faculty of SVACE’s Artist Residency Programs, Shepp’s pedagogical approach emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility and civic engagement in contemporary art practice.
